Are we doing what's best for the business? Or does corporate have some report they manage from a distance giving heat all the way down. Calls per day? We are specialty not primary care. Corporate get you heads out of your ass and let us manage our territories as CEO's of our business. We all care about our business and daily work to
call on the right targets. Face it the market is changing and access is worse then when
you were a rep. No reason to come out in the field with a rep for a dog and pony show.

Each corporate person needs to have their own assigned territory every 3 years for 6 months so they can get a reality check. Without titles except rep on their business card so they can see what it's really like out here. I really believe corporate has no clue because when they are in the field they don't see reality they see a show orchestrated from the time the are picked up at the airport.

Are the revenue goals reasonable, fair and consistent? So if the company realizes they overstated goals reduce everyone's by the same amount. Or are we going through give someone a bigger reduction? If the formula was right the first time the reduction or increase should be equal across the board.

Micro manage - sending reports from reports? If the company needs a report then don't have the field create it this takes time out of the field. Silly answers on nonsense?

Expense reports - you need a report corrected because I ididnt count the names right? Or I checked the wrong box for products on the report versus paper sign in? That is a good use of my time. Moving business forward. It's not like anyone plans to have some of these simple errors but really? At the end of the day does it really matter in increasing territory business? Or does it slow things down and decrease business?

Let's get back to what's best for the business the nonsense of micro managing needs to stop!!!

Well said.

No. Agree with AP. None of it matters. Now, about that little skinny pit viper you have in the desert. That bitch is two faced as hell. She is immature and nasty.
Needs help.

Agreed with everything! Different company moving getting way worse than ever. Too many bad people getting rewarded for being bad managers and good managers getting run out. Always a new promotion coming from corporate but field getting constant heat.
Place is a disaster and the lunatics have officially taken over! RM is out of his mind and JS is behind every move. Don't be fooled! The ride is over!

Micro- management is a byproduct of Ron and his big pharma roots. There has been a lot of anxiety around the future of this company; JS does his best to be 'transparent', and to be honest he probably is more transparent than the other CEOs of Pain companies! Unfortunately, we have a Hedge-fund investor that wants this company SOLD to the biggest investor, and JS is getting tired, for a lot of reasons. Not meeting sales goals in Q3 didn't help, and it will take some magical accounting to meet the REDUCED goals in Q4.

The revised Goals(quarterly), along with an increased bonus plan is a clever carrot to throw out there, but it comes at a price. If you think the big-pharma micro managing is bad now, wait until next year kids. My guess is that we will have some turnover at the DM level(bottom 5 or 6), along with some % of low performer reps. It makes sense to reward performance and cut the bottom feeders, but this time its different. Starboard is watching, and they are not a patient bunch.

Max out your IC, and get ready for big changes.

I wonder if Ron pushed out Hardiman? Seems like an odd time to announce retirement.

The North Region needs someone GREAT to replace Hardiman - a promotion for any of these DMs is completely unwarranted.

If we really wanted to screw over the North Region, Ron can put JV in his slot -. which will be followed by mass suicide.

Hardiman has been in last place for years now. He's not a leader or someone people respect. Saying he's retiring is a nice way to let him leave on his own before he was booted. Good riddance

As a 5+ year rep, this is a bullshit post. Harriman was not forced out, and his performance has been as the volume leader in the company, but without the pussy goals that McCutcheon gets for his team.

Hardiman would have never retired on his own. He likes the money. And volume has nothing to do with anything - it is all about growth. Hardiman was very tactical. Heck - he spent his time detailing in the car with the reps. McCutcheon focused on the customers and spending time with the Docs. Very different styles.
The company has never had strong RD leadership... not ever. All the current RD's just follow along and say what they believe will endear them to Senior Leadership. They all have too many stock options to rock the boat in any way.

Hardiman always had the best interests of the sales force at the front of his decision making. He was instrumental in developing/promoting many people, including Torpy and Ashley.

The decision making process of this company has changed for the worse. JS is a great guy, but has checked out to deal with personal matters. The input from the field doesn't matter anymore, only the voices of the inner circle at HQ. Ron seems like a nice guy, but can't grasp the difference between small pharma and big pharma. Metrics will destroy us from the inside out.

Pray for a buyout soon, so the rank&file can get paid on their options.

let's not forget Hardiman also pushed some very good people out because of his lack of ethics and inflated ego. Under Greco he thought he was untouchable and used bullying tactics on people who didn't deserve it. If you didn't go along with his non compliant bs, he made you a target. I'm so glad they decided to investigate him. Hope he never gets back in the industry
