The Economy Thrived Boehner Cried.

yep the economy sure is chuggin along almost 10% unemployment with no end in sight, OPEC is trying to set up a deal where oil isn't purchased in dollars anymore, we are getting lectured by china on our spending levels and that they will no longer be buying our debt. sales of existing homes continue to decline. But on the bright side o'shithead wants another stimulus package on infrastructure...."investment" is what he called it last night. It worked so well the first time why not right. Oh and that wonderful healthcare noose isn't even in full swing yet..I can't wait to see how well that is received. The initial provisions have had such a positive affect on hiring, ins. premiums, paperwork for claims, not to mention the $$$ they are spending on defending an indefensible provision in the bill.

I agree with Obama's 'investment', ironically we can only spend our way out of this mess. We need to invest heavily in alternative energy sources, which would allow us to cut the Trillions of dollars we spend every year on foreign oil and wars to protect it. Why spend over there when we can spend here?

Isnt OPEC practicing free market principles? Where is it written in the Constitution that we must purchase our vital energy needs from foreign nations who doesnt have our best interest, and they must do it using our dollars?

We're so yesterday around the world, and you can thank our corporatist trade policies that gutted our economy.

I will be waiting for that answer.

Yes, what a great idea turn the whole economy green and make taxpayers pay for the whole process putting us further into debt. I mean it worked out very well for ethanol....oh wait you mean that didn't work out so well. Well I am sure it worked out quite well for Spain when they did it right. No? Shit you bet lets keep following failed ideas I am sure this time it will work for us.

PS We don't need to spend any money on foreign oil we have plenty here if odummy and the environmentalists would let us use it. I agree on the wars we can likely do just as much with drone stikes and less boots on the ground. Also, it is not a question of spend the money over there or over here. Don't you get it the answer is we don't have money. The answer is quit spending.

Not sure if you want the answer but here is your education for the day and your welcome.

You are right they are free market principles, if you consider what they are doing as free market in artificially controllling supply. There is not an oil shortage and never was. Odummy is helping in creating the shortage with his drilling ban (which by the way is costing thousands of jobs and lost revenue in the US). It says no where in our constitution that we must purchase our energy from foreign nations. Have no idea where this came from what you are doing is called babbling because you have no rebuttal that our economy sucks. It also doesn't say they must do so in our dollars. But think of it this way. They CHOSE to purchase oil on the global market using dollars because the dollar held a high confidence in its value. As Bush expanded the debt and Odummy sent it into hyperdrive the confidence in the dollar is shot and getting worse by the day. You see when people want to purchase things using dollars every nation that wanted to purchase oil had to first purchase dollars to do so, thus creating a demand for the dollar that was astronomical. The demand for the dollar is no longer there. This is a direct result of the debt our country is in now and the state of our economy.

You took a very complicated portion of the statements I made and somehow tried to tie it to a tea party constitution argument, which it never was. Just simply all part of how our economy sucks right now....mainly by the doing of odummy and his cronies. You can't change facts no matter how many times you try to change the subject.

You guys seem to not mind monopolistic and oligarchical practices where supply manipulation takes place here on our own soil. Join me in re-regulating and BUSTING up that practice....will you?

And join me ( and Obama) in getting rid of that oil subsidy too.

Our economy sucks and cant recover because we dont invest HERE. Name one country in the history of the planet that ever survived by exporting its capital, its job, and its tax base? You want to know the quickest way to devalue your currency, there's your answer. What you are seeing is the chickens coming home to roost and leaving little green poops on your front door in the process.

I bring up the Constitution because according to teatard doctrine, all our answers to complex issues can be found in reading it.

God man our you really that dense. The constitution has nothing to do with international issues including trade. Agreed on the oil subsidy, as well as all other subsidies. They really shouldn't exist, a form of energy should be able to stand on its own two feet. If not, than the market doesn't exist. The falsehood that we don't invest here is ridiculous. Including Odummy's stimulus plan we have spent almost 2 trillion dollars on infrastructure over the last 18 years, with 1 trillon of that being in the last two years. Our infrastructure, per Obama, still ranks at a D level. Where did the money go? Also, ask yourself this question. Why are we losing our tax base, jobs, and capital oversees. Ask yourself an even scarier question.....Why do a number of companies feel it is more beneficial to open factories in communist/socialist China than in the US. Less taxes, less regulation, and a more stable political/fiscal/trade environment.

Perhaps that amount spent on infrastructure wasnt enough...did that ever occur to you. The neglect occured over decades. Duh!

Now, before I go on to even debate your foolishness. You need to start backing up your "facts".

If we are losing our tax base due to regulations, then we must have the worst regulatory envirnment and highest corporate taxes, correct?

Iron fisted commie nations are usually more "stable" because there is no dissent and lacks certain freedoms. Are you arguing for more of that here?

Ive had enough of you bumper sticker talking point trolls. You either back up what you claim or spend the rest of your time here debating yourself.

So...1 trillon over two years isn't enough. What is enough? You would think that 1 trillon would at least earn us a grade higher than a D right. And that is just Odummy's share. Clinton and Bush both increased infrastructure spending over their terms. Yes we are losing jobs because of the regulation burden and current tax structure. What part of this do you argue. Which part of this do you have issue with?

What did I tell you......show me the $1T in infrastructure spending. Evidence. I deal in evidence.

And better have the highest tax rates and regulation burden than countries that arent allowing outsourcing and losing their taxbase.

If not, then your argument is blown to smithereens.

Put it up my friend...I dont deal with bumper sticker talking point spewing trolls....

So,

So,

My argument is not blown to smithereens there buddy. Just ask yourself why we are losing jobs and our tax base oversee's. Below you will find a link that shows that starting in '96 our infrastructure spending was around 60-70 a year going up to as far as around 85-90 billion a year in 2008. Odummy's non-stimulus package included roughly about 400 billion on infrastructure on top of the 80-90 billion already allocated. Now forgive me this does not include state budgets/spending on infrastructure as well over the previous two presidents there was federal spending ranging anywhere from 1.04 trillion to 1.36 trillion on infrastructure, obama in one year spent almost 400 billion. This brings the total to 1.76 trillion on the high side or 1.44 trillion on the low side....and again this does not include state spending on infrastructure. My question is where is the money going and if that is not enough we trully are screwed.

Your own link doesnt even claim $400B on infrastructure spending in the stimulus bill. Try again!

If you cant figure out that with aging infrastructure, you have depreciation taking place and maintenance costs involved. Think of an old car. You still need to replace parts to keep them road worthy. Are you now saying we should just say "fuck it, we've spent enough on infrastructure?" THen you must be saying we can do without it.

But I see you avoided providing the main thrust of your point. Where is the proof that its our high tax rates and regulation are causing business to outsource? That must mean that countries with higher rates are outsourcing even more, correct? COuntries with stricker regulations are also outsourcing as well, correct?

Those countries must also be experiencing very high trade deficits thus sending their captial abroad, right?

If you cant provide that evidence to support your premises, dont expect me to waste anymore time on you.

The ConClown 'boycott' is weak and falls flat in their vain attempt to make some sort of point. They only prove themselves to be a bunch of cowardly petulant children with this latest 'action'.

CHR gets banned and the Cons cut and run . . . Priceless.
