What an unadulterated train wreck. Instead of buying companies or products they are having to borrow $50m to buy stock from all the institutions dumping the crap. No strategy till June? Very sad state of affairs with no talent left or commercial competency. They should go private and just stick with their sick culture of mediocrity. Yuk!
 












Stats:

5% of the company traded so far today, 3:30pm
$30MM traded today, 60% of their buyback target
more stock traded today (so far) than any other day in the last 5 years.

By noon tomorrow their $50MM is gone. By Monday, I reckon it will be worth about $30MM, ie $18-20 a share. Maybe $12 by the end of the month. The market/traders/investors have now seen the company post serious negative growth. Management (for what that was worth) has abandoned the company over the past 6 months, a lot of it not reported (ie the resignation of a 'President' should be reported by a public company). Book value of Blackstone should be nil, they purchased a corrupt house of cards that was a poison pill they day they swallowed it, and then they spent the last 3 years trying to make it sound like a smart decision by putting it in front of everything else. Even the Trinity 'value' is fast-evaporating. It was already mirrored by Osteocell (identical) in the market and it's already old hat with better innovations (that Orthofix can no longer afford to buy and they sure as hell dont develope anything themselves anymore) coming out elsewhere. The stench of the bribery and fraud, the absence of sound management and new product development has finally caught up with Orthofix. They treated their employees and business partners like dirt and eventually that has caught up with them too. This first quarter was just the signalling of a cascade. Why would Zimmer buy it now when they can wit til it's a small cap? Real small cap.....
