The culture sucks here

The culture sucks here. Yet the surveys show things are great. How can this be? I don't know of one person who thinks that the culture here is great. Promotions only go to those that have sucked up to the hiring manager. And don't bother if there is a preferred candidate (code for I sucked the hiring managers balls so I'm ready to get promoted now).

What are we to really believe in these survey results? When is someone going to go after the losers in the HR dept and challenge how/who promotions are given to? And don't get me talkin about how pay raises and bonuses are rolled out!
 












I agree, it's the worst culture I have ever been to. Yes if you are with the in circle then you don't need to be competent, you will get promoted and get "values at work", for just showing up. I hate to say this but it also helps being Asian. We interviewed three scientist candidates, and the Asian female was picked, when clearly was not the best candidate.

Hate it, every ethical boundaries is pushed here, as managers we are encouraged to push out very good people just because some Director does not like them.

Doesn't help if your Asian and worked in the HCV division. you were still let go
