I dunno, I think hearing the news in a group is better as long as I have some sort of later follow-up meeting with HR to find out about money and insurance. doing it that way also means we find out at the same time instead of sitting around all day waiting for the other shoe to drop.
 
















Let’s take a moment and think of our poor HR colleagues.

They wait years to be part of these layoffs so they can exert some level of authority and ghoulish platitudes.

there simply aren’t enough of these soulless creatures around to be part of all the layoffs.

It has to suck knowing that they will miss out on some of the misery.
