OUCH!! Good thing we just spent all that money on a new headquarters. What's the scoop, will it be in house people, field reps, a combo?? Start w/ the waste of a second PCP sales force!! PCP Neuro now they call you grey, what a complete waste of $$$. That's what happens when the helm is taken over by a bunch of ex Johnson & Johnson and Pfizer has beens; they bring their old broken models of shit to our house!!

LOOK, the reality is this..... this company has positioned itself to be bought.....no takers thus far.....Global HQ office does not want the publicity hit of down sizing or showing that they have miss-managed and over estimated the net numbers needed for growth and do not want to pay separation packages to employees. Therefore, they are 'working people out' thru intimidation, stressful environment and poor performance ratings and plans.

They will clean out the field level and within the next 18 months the clowns who have been in upper management will get their non-voluntary exit strategies.

Paying reps 6 figure packages to sell against generics in an environment that will demand 88% generic utilization within health plans does not generate the profit needed to sustain current head counts.

Do not take it personal, it is called Natural Selection and this company and industry as we know it is highly endangered.....Hope all of you will Fare Well in the future!
 






The big purge has started already. It's not necessarily going to be reps first anyone is fair game.
Aside from the 19-20 who were eliminated last week there have been onesies twosies let go here and there for weeks now.

Word has it they are going to keep a handful of Admins and then offer the rest to stay on as contractors or hit the road.
Yes these people are willingly going to give up their benefits to work as contractors LOL what's the incentive for them by doing that?
This isn't all CT. Things have been going downhill since Yoshida got here.
We are all just numbers to them, nothing more.
 












Yes- they are gonna fire hundreds before a launch- keep creating drama haters- or maybe move on to another company's board.

Hey Slappy the Clown--- the head count of FTE representatives are much too high for a marginal product launch. There are 3 sales teams selling 1 OAB product in a declining market. The Big M does not fill an unmet need, just another tier 3 product with big co-pay that may work on a few, but not rocket science.

Astellas is just getting started. There is an incredible opportunity ahead for thoughs of us that choose to be active in taking this company into that bright future. Say what you want, hide in the bushes and watch, bark at the moon, but this train is moving on!!
 


















The truth is we have too many salespeople. "Thoughs" of us who have been around know it doesn't take so many to sell so little. Those of you who are new (especially if you came from big pharma) may not realize it, but 1 rep per territory is plenty. At some point, some of us will have to go - that is if Obamacare doesn't get us first.
 






Well no shit Sherlock- you act like you are telling us something new! Yes they should stick to one salesforce in PCP-- but they are HIRING for all open positions- so clearly they aren't downsizing.
 












Why r their interviews????

Two people and myself are applying for jobs in uro and oncology- why would they interview if there are going to be layoffs. Cafe Pharma i must say is usually on target. PLEASE be honest for I do not want to leave a career unless for Astellas unless its reliable.

Why would someone want to stay in pharma? I get it. It's easy and it's not really sales. It's analyzing reports about a report which numbers are not accurate. I'm leary of anyone who wants to stay in pharma or wants to get into pharma.
