"I really appreciate your effort in staying positive and continuing to sell Amrix." Man, that was about the lamest sentence ever uttered to people that have just been fired - oh, fuck, I mean downsized. I'm gonna give Charles Charles a run for his money over the next 2 weeks. One signature every 2-3 days ought to cover it. Hell, the drs. and pa's will probably write some Amrix now that I'm not in their offices once a week bugging them about efficacy - when WE ALL know it was all about the damn FORMULARY COVERAGE, STUPID!!!!!!!!

For those of us remaining: Get your resume out there because I predict the whole contract will end sooner than later. They keep changing up the game plan and the simple truth is, they will never come close to reaching sales goals with Amrix.

The fact that Whitney gave a false impression that 'everything will be fine' & we have things on works ' is highly unethical & wrong in so many ways. We all knew that this was a "when" not 'If' the contract will end. It scares me to think slot of those 150 people let go that maybe half will get consideration and the other half won't ever hear from inventiv again.

Folks, there is something very wrong when reps ranking at the top 10% in the nation get layed off in favor of keeping people that are the bottom 10%. Not only does this seem like a very poor business decision, it it unfair to the reps that have worked long and hard to build the business. Should someone not be rewarded for there selling efforts? What kind of message does this send and what incentive does this give to anyone to perform? Are you going to tell me that it all comes down to someone at home office looking at a map? We are professional sales people and are able to adapt and be flexible. So what if we have to pick up new doctors in our territory. That is what we do!

Now that Dr. Baldino-CEO of Cephalon died the stock went up because word is that Cephalon is going to be sold now that he is gone. Good luck to all who kept their jobs and think they have nothing to worry about. They probably don't read and even know this!!!!!

right on brotha! I guess your manager didn't like you, end of story. Our district lost the 'top performers' mainly because they are not subservient. It didnt surprise me when the people in my district lost their jobs. It was the few that questioned the direction. So bye bye to them. How dare they question anything. 'Just be happy you have a job' type manager. They were good people too. I hope your boss didnt check the "do not rehire" on your final evaluation that you won't ever see.

Did DM's have any say in who was cut? I thought they did not.
retained manager here. Yes I had map placed in front of me and was told to pick people from my team/and my new covering area to fit the new territory alignment. I had to decide who was going where based on geography ONLY. I had final say if it was down to two/three people. The worst part of being a manager. Good luck to all you were left behind.

What do you mean by geography? Where the rep lives in relation to the existing or new territory? If it was down to two or three people, how was that determined? metrics or tenure? My manager told me is was based on objective measures.

We are going to hire you for a sales position and selling is what we expect you to do. We are going to stress this on a daily basis and send your sales rankings to you regularly. Then when it is time for us to determine the fate of your employment, how well you have accomplished your goals as a SALES rep do not matter.
Thank you and have a nice day! Merry Christmas!

Move on. Find another job. Those who stay will be joining you soon enough. At least you get a head start finding another job. What are you trying to accomplish by sticking around and bitching and complaining? Are you hoping they change their minds and take you back? Seriously....

Easy to say if you still have a job.
