Now I am one to get on here and speak my mind so don't judge me too harshly, but damn I am glad I have a job. This NObama economy is getting worse not better. Now I know he thinks if he tells it enough with the media behind him we dumbies will begin to believe that it is getting better, but most of America has pulled their heads out of their asses to see the truth. IT AIN'T GETTING ANY BETTER! I see so many businesses closing and have so many pharma friends looking for work. I think about all the things I do not like about this company, but I have to check myself. I GOT A JOB and it is up to me to find another if I let the daily bullshit get to me too much. The picking are now very slim and there are many more applicants to choose form. The work load and territory size increase, but the salary they offer is about 3/4 to 1/2 of what I made 5 years ago. I have worked at worse and definately worked at better, but thank GOD I still have a job. I don't know how long I will keep it, but I have one for now and I feel pretty blessed.

It IS great to have a job, that is true. But don't let them tell you there isn't anything else out there. It takes a lot of perserverance but if you have a good resume and consistently put it out there you WILL get interviews. If you interview well you CAN get other offers. I still think it is easier to get a job when you are already employed then when you aren't. There is better out there. You sound like someone who has a good head on their shoulders, you can definitley do better than this company.
 












Misery loves company, but I personally thrive off of positivity!! After working in a different industry prior to this job, I think this job is AWESOME, EASY, FLEXIBLE and at times FUN!! I am so grateful to be employed anywhere and so what if MGT thrives from micro managing, eventually they have to figure out a better balance. The only people who truly complain about our company and job are the ones who can't handle actually working!! Nothing in life is free and success cannot just be handed to you, you gotta work for it and if you aren't then sorry for you cause KARMA is a bitch!! I hear of people who can barely make ends meet to just feed their kids, working multiple jobs to just survive the economy. Anyone that would complain about this job is an idiot, benefits, awesome perks (car/gas/free lunches)!! Go out and work and just be happy. AND NO I AM NOT A MANAGER, just a rep who cares!!
 






I agree with the OP but if you have ever worked for any other company in this industry I can tell you that life is greener on the other side. thats not always the case with other jobs but this company it is the truth. It has its perks and it pays ok but you look at other pharma companys, you will be amazed at the difference at the quality of life and care for their employees. Here is an example. All DM's are forced to work on holidays such as today "Memorial Day". No other company would allow this. They want you to take time with family. Also, only 3 sick/personal days?
Here are two examples of the lack of care for your personal life.
Its all about the company and they don't give a flying shit about you or your personal life.

No, you are just probably a first-time pharma rep and/or have been at this company for less than 6 months. There's a reason they are only hiring people with "no pharma experience" when there are a glut of exerienced pharma reps out there who would jump at the chance at another sales job. It's because they know you'll drool over the chance to be a "pharma rep", won't understand all the unethical things that go on at this company and will just do what they're told.

DM's are working. They work on holidays. You didnt know that?
They are only allowed 1 admin day during the week. If there is a holiday they have to use it as their admin day to catch up. Ask your DM. I guarantee he/she works on the holiday.
 


















I am NOT a DM, but I guarantee that they did something right (like selling) in order to get their position!! So what is their admin day is a (whatever day), I hope to be in that position one day!! Then I will get rid of all the BAD ATTITUDE people!!
 






My DM wasnt great in sales. This DM just so happend to work here a long time. Which is not too hard to do since nobody stays at this hell hole. Please all listen. Its not about how good or bad this company is to work for. We all have our opinions. But I guarantee one thing, this company will not be around in 1 year. Strative just dont make enough money for PAR to keep around. You have all been warned.

Ok so I agree that the economy is not the best and we are all concerned but please don't create a revisionist history. If we are going to blame lets start with the many administrations Republican and Democrat that allowed jobs to be shipped out of the US in record numbers that happen for decades before the current admin. Also Americans supporting this by buying everything made elsewhere not in American. Business people don't even use US workers they get it made in China for cheap. Next blame Wall Street rich cats, and morgage giants that sent this economy in a tail spin were jobs were being lost at 700,000 a clip by the time the new admin came in. Lets not forget the economy was false for 10 years with the banks selling risky mortgages to people who could not afford a house. Let's not forget the debt added to by bail out by BUSH and Tax cuts for the very wealthy which none of us are under BUSH. We were left with a shit economy. So do we all expect to flip a switch and everything is better- REALLY. GET REAL. GET YOU HEAD OUT YOUR FOX NEWS ASS AND GO OUT AND SELL SOME DRUGS TO MAKE YOUR NUMBERS AND JUST QUIT IF YOUR SO DAMN UNHAPPY AND STOP BLAMING ONE PERSON FOR YOUR DECISION TO WORK FOR THIS COMPANY. Bill Clinton(Acorn and the liberal admin.) forced the banks to make these loans. Do you really think a banker would risk loaning money to someone that would not be able to pay it back. Check your facts. May I suggest FOX News. Maybe you will become more informed on what is really going on. This presidend has spent more money than every president since George Washington combined. I quit a few weeks ago. They dont know yet but I have been to and returned from training. Management here is asking to many unethical things..... The show will be over soon enogh!
