Thank you Forest!

I'm a low-level nobody at Forest and I occasionally check this board, but not often.

I've been around the block with two other pharma companies. I've been laid off and I've waited in line for promotions that went to seniority rather than talent.

Forest gave me an opportunity a few years ago and I'm very grateful.

We just got notice of profit sharing. I opened up my retirement account and actually looked at the figure! Fantastic! This, off the heels of stock awards and a modest raise (in THIS economy!)

This company has allowed me and my family to recuperate from some tough times. Forest has allowed me peace of mind and security that I'm going to have something to retire on.

I've been on the other side. What exists here is special. I hope we never get bought out.

I'll continue to work hard and wanted to thanks to this organization on behalf of my children.

Cue the haters, cue the "oh barf" comments...whatever.

Thanks Forest. Love 'ya.

This is being done to align our benefits package with AZ's package. It's NOT being done for your benefit. After the purchase is completed we will go through a nearly 80% layoff as Wyeth experienced after they were purchased by AZ.

Did anyone happen to consider that this is a chess move by HS to avoid hostile takeover? Do you read the news? CI wants a hostile take over. It would make sense to make the move less desirable if there was a policy in place that would cost him many millions should he want to dismantle the company. Well played Howard. And by the way, I have talked to the man at length. He knows that sales management is not what it used to be... nor is the industry as a whole. He does have genuine concern for people .... which is the other reason why this was done.

I do not know why AZ would want to have anything to do with Forest. They have as much in common as a mail box and an elephant. And Wyeth was purchased by Pfizer, not AZ. But it is true that the salesforce took deep (very deep) cuts.
