textured implant

I was reading a study that showed a higher rupture rate with underfilled implants, such as a 325 filled to 325. Is this true. Also, is there a higher rupture rate with textured vs smooth?

There is a higher rupture rate on textured in the US because the US docs try to force them thru too small of an incision and are often in too much of a hurry. They tend to get creative and use tools which are NOT designed to assist with insertion. The US docs find that the smooth ones are easier to get into place and thus are much less likely to damage the implants during placement.

Advice to ladies seeking implants: don't be so bent on getting a tiny scar. Your longterm results will be better if the doc has enough room to place these toys.
