If you want happy employees, especially those of us in the field, PLEASE DO A SURVEY- anonymously… because of our fear of retaliation. Retaliation is rampant among HD’s when someone speaks up.
 


















Transformation brought on a new level of complacency and unqualified people. Genentech was just another company attempting a model no company ever succeeded at. The difference is, other companies admitted the failures and returned to growth. Most of the field is quietly quitting. Lipstick on a pig…Genentech needs to admit they bought the wrong animal. Our competitors are running circles around us, and all we care about is DEI while the stock price was cut in half. Teresa has a LOT of work to do. Step 1 ain’t a survey…step one get rid of AH, step 2 bring back some of the old field structure, Step 3… incentivize your sales people to stop complacency. Then… do a survey.
 












It’s going to be a rough couple of years. Genentech isn’t known for competing. Leadership isn’t strong in this org. HDs, FDs and many HEDs just aren’t great.

I haven’t been here for too long but see the startling gaps. It really requires Theresa to remove AH it is simply time for a course correction. New CEO needs to remove the dead weight pulling us down.
Daddy Roche is realizing the cash cow it thought it bought is bleeding out multiple orifices. The Eco structure was a bad idea and in 2026 the ship will change course. Quit putting in leaders to fill quotas or because they are a Genentech lifer. It’s not working. Many of us here know how to lead, but you are demotivating the masses. Quit having your meetings in Vegas, it’s embarrassing to the industry and we are all getting tired of going to Sin City.

companies have meetings in Vegas because it’s cheap if done at the right time. Lots of hotels and venues that need business when they aren’t gouging for some event.

Right now the company is riding on the past history of the Genentech name. It allowed inept people to advance and the focus to shift from innovative medicine to eco systems and DEI crap. When things bleed out, they will have to refocus. Until then, the faux leaders will get paid to focus on metrics that don’t pay the bills.
 






Why have metrics? When we all know A Lot of our employees just stare at the computer twiddling their thumbs. The only solution is CUTTING excess fat. Employee layoffs is needed!
