Pros, cons?

Yes this is pharma. Every company is a soul sucker with a POS culture. Some BU are better than others.

We are no different then other big companies. Spread sheets, Tel Conf (that have little meaning) and some good competition . We have a great product, and in most areas good coverage. The culture is what you make it. If you have a chance to come, take the chance.

Many times the culture is not what YOU make it. It's what your manager makes it.... especially at Amgen. Trust me on this. The HR at Amgen allows the managers to do whatever they feel like doing and get way with it as long as they CYA by carefully & strategically documenting (or not documenting for that matter). They are all about covering their own asses when it comes down to it and that becomes their focus even more than moving business. You think you can dodge this but if you become a target it be very difficult.
