Someone tell Bart Peterson to get a clue. I have no idea why he was even brought into this company. The man sucked as the mayor of Indianapolis and doesn't provide any value to the organization, except collecting a paycheck.

When he came into Lilly all he did was cover the Health Care Bill and tell all the people what he was doing in D.C. Heck, I can get that from the darn paper. What a waste. Another bad J.L decision.

He is using company resources to help elect his former hack deputy Indy Mayor. When she loses, look for her to 'onboard' as VP of LRL or something equally laughable...

It's tempting to think she'll lose. She lost the race for prosecutor in 2006, which was otherwise a huge year for Democrats. In fact, that race got national attention as one of the few examples of a Republican winning against the trend. She can't overcome projecting the image of wanting to use these municipal offices she runs for as mere stepping stones. But the Indy electorate is degenerating year after year, so don't assume she won't win, after which you'd be wise to not venture outside of the confines of LCC or LTC during your workday. And if you don't already live in one of the donut counties, then you'll really be SOL.

Ex Mayor Peterson is, without a doubt, one of the least impressive people I have ever met in my 20+ years at Eli Lilly and Company. Talk about an empty suit!
