You wanted it and now you have it: An audience with someone who actually cares enough to take action.
It's up to those of you at Cubist to speak up. Courage comes easy on an anonymous message board, but the time for venting grievances online is over. You need to tell Rob exactly why you're angry. Why you're thinking about leaving. Why those of us who left are gone and what needs to change to keep the rest of you from resigning when the next decent opportunity comes along.
Rob needs to know that people aren't leaving for the money, because of the admin burden or because you're juggling 4 products. People are leaving because someone under him saw fit to take us for granted, talk down to us and use fear rather than trust as their prime motivator.
Simply put, ask for your culture back. The "Special Sauce." For all that you're expected to do, it should be a very small concession to make.

RP needs to fire Greg & Tony now and get some leadership who treats the sales force with respect. Threats and intimidation are not a motivator for experienced professionals. Where is HR with these two? Did they not read the NSM surveys? Many more will be leaving soon if this change does not happen quickly.

COURAGE??? Really?? We have families to feed and kids to put through school we can't take the risk of speaking openly on a conference call. People who left for the TMC had the COURAGE to make a move to sell a very risky drug and what happen to them....they all got sued!! Cubist has 4 great drugs with another one on the way yet the sales people are running for the door. The sales people who speak positive on the conference calls are the same people who bitch about Tony & Greg when they hang up. Great people have left Cubist to join Durata, TMC, Entera, and other risky companies why? It's not just the money... things have changed at Cubist for the worst and we don't need a conference call to find that out. COURAGE comes from leadership pulling their heads out of the sand and fixing the REAL problem. You don't have to fire Tony & Greg just move them as far away from the salesforce as possable. Have the COURAGE to do the right thing for the good of all of Cubist.
