Takeda sux. Why did I make the cut

You can definitely tell who came from shire and takeda. There are a bunch of unprofessional people here that I have seen and I haven’t seen many shire reps. Enough said

I give primary care less than a year, speciality 2 years. vyvanse is in trouble due to new competition out, mydayis is terrible coverage (me2) and takeda made the worst deal ever. I am shocked trintelex only makes up 10% of the profit. Connect the dots. I’m interviewing when I get home. Just waisting my time here

It’s insulting. Takeda reps seem to be what many Shire reps were 5-10 years ago. We left jobs like the PC team of Takeda. Many of us came to Shire. Shire without a doubt had more tenured and experienced sales people.

The dumbing down of company. Happens every time there is a merger.

It did give some interesting perspective today when Chris was going over IC comp and said Shire reps were paid well and to thank them for your target bonus increase and then brought up the questions they’ve gotten regarding base salary. Makes me wonder how badly have they really been paying them and what does that mean for legacy Shire employees future. Once that two year lock is over we’ll be gone too.

I agree. We have until that 2 years is up to find a new job

I know quite a few people who left shire to go to other companies where they got a 10-15k bump in base. Plus a higher bonus target and equity. How could Takeda possibly attract any decent sales talent if their salaries and total comp was that low? Do they have a pension plan or something? Takeda seems to be the definition of “big pharma” and apparently one of the worst regarding pay.

a lot of time off helps ... Don't know about other companies, but Takeda does give its employees a lot of time off. I prefer that to more $$.

So true. I loved how the new leader got on the stage and basically told the Shire PC reps they just got a demotion. There was no rhyme or reason on who they picked for “specialty” vs PC. It’s a joke. Whoever thought your success would come down to your zip code? That’s big pharma
