Takeda Reps are Forging Sales Documentation to Get Interviews

To get into the sales interview process at Novo Nordisk, I heard from a Takeda rep, that a lot of the Takeda reps are forging documents in hopes that Novo Nordisk will not pick this up during the initial screenings. This is so wrong!

Dude, you already have a thread to whine about Takeda reps.

You are so angry....

What do you expect? The truth? No, when you force people into a corner by requiring certain 'achievements' then miraculously everyone is a 'top performer.' Novo obviously thinks that this top 20% requirement helps them to narrow down the field early on in the process however, what it actually does is sort out the unethical from the ethical reps. The ethical reps tell the truth and therefore immediately exclude themselves (unless they are truly in the 20% but that is likely to be very few candidates) and the unethical immediately put themselves in the running. Novo should change it's screening criteria to narrow down the field or they could end up with nothing but reps who would sell their Mother's soul to get ahead. Perhaps that is what they want?

ATTENTION NOVO

If any Takeda rep tries to provide you with 2011 sales rankings and were laid off, it's a false document! All reps that were part of the restructure process did NOT receive 2011 rankings due to the timing and notification of pending layoffs. Check with Takeda for yourselves. Everyone received a severance and separation packet and this is CLEARLY noted within this~

your post is right on . Novo has no way to ask a company to give out official rankings. Novo your are going to get the opposite of what you are lookig for!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

if any pharma rep told the TRUTH on their resume it would say:

Worked a less than an hour 3 days a week
Checked the box to cover my ass
ran bs rreports to feed my boss so they believed I was working
took my manager on the same milk run to the same docs that liked me
required an afternoon nap most days (unless playing golf)
mastered the skill of masterbating while driving

What the OP is doing is transparent, and wrong. We are FILLED with sales people and managers from other companies. In fact, in my experience many of those people are better trained than we are. I say, if they have strong, documented relationships with their customers, and have a good THREE YEAR TRACK RECORD, let 'em come. I couldn't care less about how they've done just over the past 25 weeks. Look at the entire body of work over a few years....

This is true; however all Takeda reps that were laid-off have FQ1 and FQ2 sales rankings for 2011. Better to have half a year than nothing.

Anyone can make up anything, the reports are proprietary information and aren't supposed to be distributed, there's no way an interviewer can follow up on anything they see unless they have a friend working for the other company. You will get what you screen for when you put these silly little requirements in place and people are desperate for jobs.

Yes, they are proprietary and not to be shared but they are. The company screening applicants probably has a number of reports to compare from each company from numerous submissions by countless candidates. I am sure they keep a database and compare against what they have on file.

Is the top 20% a hard fast rule? What if someone with Novo refers you?

Got news for you...everyone applying who says they are top 20% are fudging numbers and NN should know it. Even referrals coming from our own employees are not top 20. It's very unrealistic for NN to require this after watching the pharma market in the past 4 years. It's also proprietary info and many will make up their reviews so it looks like they are superstars.

Not everyone. My referral won Presidents club last year and had the proof

Can't be that bad, we have a few RBD's that used to work for Takeda.

You're completely missing the point: someone here has a major grudge against someone from Takeda that just got an offer. Rather than 'man up', they are playing the 2nd grader's route of character assassination against an entire company on CP. Really sad to watch....
