Take This Job and Shove It!

This entire industry is full of backstabbers. From private, to worst of all university level backstabbers.

That's old news. Next to BL, university based is extremely backstabb-ish. Everyone uses subordinates for recognition. The first time dept heads look back, the blame and axe falls on subordinates.

Just because BL is full of incompetent loosers doesn't mean every other institution in the industry follows suit. Congrats for leaving that shit hole, best of luck

The Reference Lab business, especially anything "pathology" focused is the dirtiest business I have ever experienced.

Everything from saturation biopsy, medicare fraud, no co=pay billing, lying, stealing, etc etc goes on.

In additon every Pathologist wakes up and says "wow, I am going to strat a lab" like everyday of every week a new regional lab opens.

Soon there will be more labs then lab clients!!

Hopefully several will try to get a round the new billing rules and get shuttered by the government.

I disagree. After 26 yrs. in the business I can tell you it is all the same. It is all about recognition and promotion from within the lab.... all labs.

That is an extremely accurate statement, and 99.99% the recognition and promotion goes to management instead of the person doing the job. Lab work is drab work that is why so many are getting as much cash as they can prior to closing or selling out to conglomerates, which is about half the pay scale no matter how long you've been there or who you thik you know or whom you have blown.
