Has anyone received an interview for the second contract with Amylin? I interviewed in Dallas last week and had not heard for Bydureon. Then received a call from an inventiv recruiter on the other contract asking if I was interested in interviewing. Haven't heard anything else.

THEN YOU DIDN'T GET THE POSITION PERIOD. IF THEY ASKED YOU ABOUT THE OTHER CONTRACT

Does anyone have any insight on Symlin, how is this contract for symlin only going to be,
with only one product. do you think it will last long

Symlin trainer with Amylin here: They will have two products as the contract is for Symlin as primary and Byetta and secondary. No crystal ball, but the contract should be for 2 years. This group actually has a pipeline product in Metreleptin. This actually will be more of a speciality sales contract position--so that might add to the odds of it turning to be a longer contract.

65 reps total under 6 DMs to cover major business areas--thus, larger territories!

Fun drug to sell--very unique and can really be a life-changer for some patients, but challenging drug to sell at times too--injections and cost has kept it at a very low market share. I guess if you're an optimist, there's a lot of business to be had there-- Good luck!

It happened to a couple of the reps I referred in for the Bydureon postions, but it may not be a bad sign to you. Both of them got to the final interviews and one was hired.

It seems to be a good opportunity--more like a specialty role. So, it may be that they asked you to interview because you've sold injectibles--especially insulin--since Symlin is used with insulin. Go for it--you may be surprised!
