Looks like they submitted for 510K clearance. I don't see the appeal to this product, it looks like a hybrid between Lap Surgery and Robotic with no clear advantage over either modality. Not sure if hospitals will pony up for--yet another device with marginal clinical benefit. Use ISI or do a Lap case. Thoughts? I'm trying to decide if 510 approval and a market release will drive the stock price up.
 













Transenterix own statement says their not trying to compete with intuitive. My guess is that they will target surgery centers and rural hospitals that don't have millions for a davinci program. If the technology is worth a shit, maybe they get bought out by one of the big boys? Don't see them making much noise otherwise...
