Oh and BTW I love how the date on my FedEx severance package was dated back in mid May. But hey, Mike, you're right...you guys decided last minute to lay off everyone right after forcing reps to buy cars. Right.

it was first mentioned about July 2nd layoffs of OSS reps on this website on 4/16. Yeah, they knew it was happening and still had people go out and purchase cars. How they sleep at night blows my mind, they are horrible horrible people and I hope fleas from 1000 camels infect their genitals
 












I am floored that they lay you off then tie your severance into completing work for them. This and a non compete? Non competes are for when YOU decide to leave THEM. Something about both of these things doesn't sound legal.

Wait until you get the mailing from MNK about dependent verification. Even though you will no longer be working for the company, you still have to send this stuff in if you want COBRA.

I've been in this business a long time, and this is the FIRST TIME I've EVER had to send in a copy of my legal marriage certificate (license) to prove that I am married to the woman that I claim on my health insurance. This is absolutely INSANE. What will they think of next?

Agree that the leadership team at MAL are total dirt bags. The problem with lying is that you have to remember the lies that you tell to be consistent. Evidently Mike M. is not that bright, does not care, or is too busy building share holder wealth to remember that they originated Fed-Ex pick up dates in May. No morals or ethics whatsoever. My severance packet was dated for May as well. I would run this by a lawyer with the Fed-Ex envelope (that's shows the date of origination) showing the knowledge that MAL planned the downsizing before mandating a specific car purchase.

Here is a trade secret that I will not make MAL sign a non compete for...treat your employees with respect/dignity and they will move mountains for you. You can use valuable meeting/conference call time discussing on how to grow the product(s) instead of convincing your sales force to drive shareholder wealth. In general terms for the remedial leadership team...shareholder wealth is a byproduct of success not a driving factor. Focusing of shareholder wealth is near sighted goal that has no future for the company.

If your goal is to drive the company in the ground, drive up debt with purchasing of companies, double or triple the price of the products acquired, tell shareholders that your making a profit - while not telling them that you have achieved this profit not by gaining new business but only though inflated pricing structure, and deceive them from the fact that you actually lost business and continue to do so then you have succeeded. I would call this a Ponzi scheme and very glad that I do not have to live with that on my conscience.

To all of those laid off - there are better things in the future with other companies. You will look upon this in hindsight as something that unfortunately you had to endure but made you a stronger person in the long run. What we have done for this company takes skill and perseverance. God speed and best of luck in your endeavors.
 






Why would they want a marriage license? They have recognized domestic partnerships and provided coverage for them for many years.

Their requirement by MNK is to produce a Certificate of Domestic Partnership Registration AND proof of joint property ownership. Common Law Spouse--same thing.

These people have gone NUTS!!
 






Just an FYI. The OSS that were just let go had to have ours verified already. We received the paperwork a few weeks ago. FYI, we are all gone! If you are just receiving this in another division consider this a sign of a restructuring in your division.
