Support for Stricter Gun Laws In General Is Lowest Gallup Has Measured

A record-low 26% of Americans favor a legal ban on the possession of handguns...

For the first time, Gallup finds greater opposition to than support for a ban on semiautomatic guns or assault rifles, 53% to 43%..

. . . And practically nobody cares about Gun Control as an issue.

Here, let me open a window . . . . OOOPS . . . There goes another one of your threads.

Yet you responded to it. Go figure.

One thing about which you inadvertently remind us is that AGW is nowhere to to seen on those surveys you posted. Funny how you guys continually post on AGW as though it hasn't been thoroughly debunked.

You can't even stay true to the topic on your own thread. Go figure.

Another crash landing for you - this time with no survivors.

He is casting about for some excuse to change the subject. He/she and his/her friend have been absorbing some pretty severe verbal beatings this week. I'll play along.

I own several weapons. My current favorite is a chrome .38 Model 40 with a 1 7/8 barrel. It goes everywhere with me.There have been occasions when I almost had to use it. In those cases, it was because I was a a witness to a mugging or an assault.

I am convinced of once thing: If I am ever shot, the shooter will not give a shit about gun laws. Chicago and Washington, D.C. have some of the strictest gun laws in the country, and they also have the most killings. I would like to hear some chicken-shit libbie explain how stricter gun laws protect the public.

Once in a while someone will notice that I have it and smile, but so far nobody has freaked out about it.

Do you think that the trend away from stricter gun laws could, at least in part, be a response to the increasing feeling that America is seeing the beginnings of a socialist seizure of power under Kamerad Obama?

I have the impression that the anti-gun crowd has visions of mobs of foaming-at-the-mouth revolutionaries running around firing their AK's at school children. Or most likely they just don't want to be defenseless when the shooting starts.

So by your own admission you witnessed assaults and muggings, but sat back with you little gun up your ass and did nothing. Oh yeah, you are a REAL BAD ASS, with your little chrome plated pimp gun.
Just asking, but did you even bother to call 911, or did you run and hide?

Look folks, another Second Amendment hating left-winger that doesn't know how to defend his position so he goes personal. That's all this guy an BN have on any issue...personal attacks to cover up their inability to offer substantive discussion.

Just as with their debunked religion of AGW, the public opinion has turned against them on gun control as well. Truth and reality must be frustrating for them.

Of particular note in public opinion is that now a majority of Americans favor the right to own assault weapons. That, no doubt, really drives the left crazy. Hell, Doc Who thinks a 9mm is an assault weapon that shouldn't be owned by private citizens.

That is a very rich rerspomse coming you given that you have gotten pistol whipped (pun intended) all over this board for the past few daze.

The whole board has witnessed you recieving the worst beat down in the history of CP on your John Edwards thread - I almost feel bad for you on that one as you walked face first into an industrial strength fan.

You and your sponsor 4DView are low hanging fruit and only serve as tackling dummies until the real RP's come along to offer up some intelligent debate.

You ignore the fact that armed witness to assaults and muggings did nothing, but pridefully comments about it?
And then say I am anti- second amendment? That is quite a stretch even for you. You should take that on line course about reading comprehension

I know that after the beating you and Breakingnews took you are struggling to find some way to get even with me, but this isn't it.

Now it appears that your idea of carrying a gun is to start blasting away irresponsibly at the first available opportunity. Screw any innocent bystanders, right? They shouldn't have gotten in the way.

If you had any gun training you would understand that the most important thing to know about guns is knowing when to use one.

You're showing you're ignorance dude. The most important thing is knowing how to use one. Many a person has pulled one at the right time and had it taken from them (and used on them) when they misfired because they had no training.

So it's OK to have poor judgment about when it is appropriate to use a gun as long as your stance and grip are correct?

Suppose we agreed that both statements are equally important.

That's not a wise or responsible reaction to have BB. That could come back to bite you. Keep it concealed.

Your point is well taken. It's not as though I go around flashing my piece. Over the years there have been a couple of instances when people have noticed the bulge in my clothes and stuff like that.

I don't think that rises to the level of "irresponsibility". In the places where I go fishing, most people carry (wolves and bears), and the F&G people actually prefer that we carry openly. In those places most people carry .357's (revolvers) in chest holsters.

Funny story: I was having dinner with a brother in law in New York. He is a retired cop, and as such was legally allowed to CC in the city. He had a Model 40 in his pants pocket, and it fell out on the floor during dinner.

The waiter's face turned white as a sheet and the police were called.

Ah, yes, more insanity from the liberal paradise that is New York City.
