Maybe yes, or maybe no. I still think they need our calls for Otsuka and Takeda, whether they are lies or not. But, if you are not one of the “kiss-ass” type reps in your district, it might be wise to start looking. And, if you are not a kiss ass rep, maybe you should learn to be one! Most ASM’s are too gullible to see through what you are doing. The Sunovion lay-off appears to be significant, but then again, I am hearing they may be hiring for a new product, so who knows!

Some people had mommy and daddy read them fairy tales before bed and so they hold on tightly to the notion that if one works hard they will be ok. It really does not matter. Fairy tales are not true. Lay-offs are coming. It does not matter how hard you work, how much ass you kiss or how devout you are; China virus is going to end your pharmaceutical career. if you really think they will keep us employed bc of a call requirement to takeda and otsuka you are freaking crazy! Contracts have clauses and outs based on situations IE Covid and they are renegotiated annually. Kiss your job goodbye. At least some of these asshole managers will get what they have coming to them! The northeast psych ASM team is a perfect example of a where majority should go.
 








Lundbeck has always been dependent on what other companies do. If Takeda or Otsuka have a lay-off then maybe Lundbeck will. I think Dunsire and company are way too conservative to cut sales. They see Vyepti is struggling with only 1 team. In this market you need to make use of your reps to the greatest possible degree, and 1 team selling 1 drug is insane. Many on here have suggested a complete make over and depending on territory potential, 1 rep may have Vyepti, Northera and Trintellix, or whatever mixture works for that territory. The days of 2 reps with the same territories are over.

They should look at the old 80/20 rule, cut headcount, and call only on huge potential targets, and adjust from there. It looks like everyone is starting to cut sales. I think by December this industry will be much smaller in terms of sales teams. 2021 will definitely see government changes to the industry. Too many factors out there to affect a career in this industry anymore.

Yeah right. One rep to launch Vyepti, sell Northera and Trintellix? Northera and Vyepti take too much work to focus on both and be the only rep in territory. Then worry about making enough Trintellix calls? Not going to happen

Nice of you to be so pumped up here about Lundbeck. While I do not totally disagree with your comments, the reality here is that this dual alliance marital affair w/ Takeda and Otsuka having so many of us tripping over each other in a more limited provider access environment now is not gonna keep on much longer. Comments have previously been made on here by others that we have several issues against us this year that will be a driving force toward a Lundbeck downsizing along with many more pharma companies w/i the next 90 days.

1. This COVID setback has allowed too many providers; especially the CMHCs to get waaaay to comfortable working from their homes doing telemed as long as the gov't / MC plans all keep paying them at the same rate as F2F making our access limited to virtual if that is even possible w/ most hiding from reps now.

2. We have had waaaay too many reps selling two rented drugs for too long. Anyone thinking just b/c we have contractual agreements with our alliance kissing cousins @ Takeda and Otsuka to make X amount of calls per trimester prevents us from a reorg, you're totally fooling yourself. Look at home Otsuka has already almost two months ago announced a very generous retirement buyout package to their 55+ emps and Takeda just initiated the same for their Japanese division. If call matrix were so important here in the US, Otsuka would not be trying to manage the older population out w/ a generous package. Pharma contracts like any other are made to be broken w/ a contractual penalty buyout and it will happen here. And look at Takeda all still sitting @ home till who knows when which is ridiculous AF. Those fucks could give two shits whether or not we are at goal w/ Trintellix and quickly to say they aren't looking at who's prescribing and who's not b/c they are still getting paid @ goal regardless. For many, they are hoping the #'s drop so IF - WHEN they do ever return, they will have their goals dropped due to the decline in business during COVID. Stupid AF, but just comes to show you what happens w/ pharma co-promotions which are always so damn lame.

3. The Town Hall requested online link invite w/ Peter on Nov. 12th was set already two weeks ago which also seems suspicious to many here @ Lundbeck. Right after the election, and in mid Q4 to downsize in time to clean the overage slat to investors before year-end.

Sooo, if you still think this does not spell a "LUNDBECK LAYOFF" right before you sit down w/ your families for a delicious Thanksgiving Day meal, or in early December, don't be all surprised and upset when reality most probably sets in when we are all notified that DOOMs DAY hits here too.

Pharma NEVER fairs well during election years!!!! That has also been brought up on the Lundbeck CP board numerous times recently and it's so true. Look at the huge pharma bloodbath of layoffs in both 2008 and 2016. B/t August and early December both years, 15-20 pharma companies had HUGE layoffs. There have already been 8-10 pharma companies that have laid off since late March 2020. Novo Nordisk lays off next month - anticipating 10-30% reduction and many more will follow. Anyone here thinking we are immune to it this year before the holidays b/c Lundbeck and Deborah Dunshire are more conservative has their heads in the sand, drinking the company kool-aid, or just naive AF.

The reality is this ship cannot continue to keep sailing as it is now and senior management has been setting us all up since May when John, Tres, etc., started sending out the monthly COVID surveys - all for the purpose of setting up a plan to gather data for ZS Associates by October most probably to determine how many reps should be cut. If you're not already looking for your next career opportunity NOW, once this pharma bloodbath epidemic hits soon, you may find yourselves taking 4-6 months, maybe longer to find a new job.
