Schumer: "Minimal" chance of cuts amid Bausch + Lomb spin-off
My LASIK surgery experience:
I had terrible vision. I wore daily contact lenses for 7 years prior to having LASIK surgery. At least a couple times per week I would fall asleep wearing the contact lenses in my eyes. My eyes would occasionally get dry from the contact lenses. A contact lens would fall out from time to time too. Wearing contact lenses was a nuisance.
I had LASIK surgery performed by one of, if not the best, LASIK surgeon in the area. The practice, staff, and surgery center were all exceptional. The staff thoroughly explained the procedure, the risks, and what to expect. The day of my LASIK surgery I was calm. I had to wear glasses for 6-8 weeks before the surgery. I went from pre-op to the surgery room without my glasses and could barely see. The LASIK surgeon took about 15 minutes to perform her miracle work and I was completely comfortable the entire time. After the surgery was completed, I sat up and the first thing I saw was a clock. I could see the clock perfectly and said "WOW!" I probably said "WOW" no less than 10 times. My vision was corrected to better than perfect. Sixteen-years later and my vision is still better than perfect. LASIK surgery drastically improved my quality of life. The days of dealing with cumbersome contact lenses are long gone.
Not everyone is a candidate for LASIK, but if you are, then I highly recommend it.
I am still thankful and grateful to everyone involved in my LASIK experience.
