Suboxone film

I was killing some time out the front of a client's clinic waiting for a few minutes of her time in the carpark and one of her patients was there having a cigarette, a junkie who looked sick. He must have seen me carrying a box of sample films because he asked me what I think of the film? I said I'm not a patient and that the films weren't real (getting robbed isn't a good start to my day!). I asked him if he's on the film? He said yeah, so I asked him what he thought of them. He said that he loved the film, that it was stronger. He went on a bit, at one stage hinting that he likes to inject his film and that its easier to dissolve than the tablets.

Now I coulda gone and told the doc this but I'm not the sort to get into dramas. And bearing bad news isn't good for sales. I have a good relationship with the doc. We even dated once. SHE contacted me asking for more sample films for her patients. BUT seeing how messed up that guy was I DID feel guilty reminding the doc how much safer the film is for diversion.

Working for RB has been drama after drama and the number of docs willing to give us time in this city is getting smaller every year. AND (you'll laugh) maybe I'm growing soft but a company's gotta give me a decent incentive if I'm gonna bend the truth. I AM thinking of pulling out.

Has anyone here left RB? Did you have to fight for your payout?

Seriously? Wow....this is the dumbest post I have EVER read. If you did work for RB, which you obviously don't, you would know we NEVER carry samples of Film. In fact I am pretty sure it's illegal to sample any drug that scheduled above IV (I remember Lunesta samples early on when it came out and it's a IV)...Get the fvck off our board, idiot.

Obviously he was carrying demo films! I agree with him. RB continues to make billions on tablet but CLs get penalized if tablet goes up in their territory. And of course you can't say anything because then they call you ungrateful. I AM going to go somewhere else because this company is a joke.

Bull....shit! The demo film boxes are CLEARLY marked as such. And the part about the OP's doctor asking for more "samples for her patients"...come on. You have to be a fool to think this wasn't some patient troll....jeez read a little more carefully!

As for getting penalized for your tablet % going up....I suggest you work a bit harder. It doesn't take a genius to recognize these docs still writing tablets are getting bs'd by their patients, b/c after a year and a half since the launch of the Film: we have had a tablet price increase, a continuous savings on the Film w/ the copay card, better and better MCO coverage, etc... Any patient still willing to pay more for the tablet is probably selling or diverting it, given all the reasons for Film. And this isn't corporate BS, if you are so blind to your tablet docs and why they are still writing it so much, then change your approach. There's no reason for some territories to be stuck at 30% Film share this long into it...except maybe Massachusetts (no copay cards there)

So docs that say all their tablet patients are having side effects from the Film, is total bullshit. Learn to sell! It's the same shit we heard when the generic subutex came out..."oh Suboxone makes me sick", when before they took it with no problem. I have docs at 95% Film b/c they tell their potential patients up front that's all they write, take it or leave it.

Nadia just left.

I'm with RB Australia and the last 6 months we been pushing the film solidly. But without co-pay, prices of tablets and film regulated by our government, the only real selling points are faster dissolving, more bioavailability, taste. Its a tougher sale down here.

One of my clients said eight outta his first ten patients who tried the film switched back to tabs complaining about headaches etc. I reminded him strongly that tablets are easier to divert, suggesting they want to sell their tablets.

What is the best way to tell doctors that the film's harder to divert and sell? I stress it dissolves faster so patients can't spit out supervised doses. But most doses here are take-home and docs know that.

We have no data to support that the Film is harder to divert. Sorry. That's what is frustrating for those of us who want to use this as a message. We risk our credibility, since we can't support it. You can say Film is harder to crush & snort. But it can be dissolved and injected, which is a more common method of abuse than snorting. (BTW, the message that starts this thread is clearly from a troll. The point that patients can inject the Film is still a valid one. We do not commonly hear that people think Film is "stronger" though.)

It is a much stronger message than "patient preferred" since we found out after the US launch, that Film is not in fact patient-preferred in the real world. Some like it. Some don't. Faster dissolution is a fact, but it is not the only factor in "patient preference" unfortunately. The ones who liked Film better than tablets in our pre-launch marketing studies, were also getting it for free as part of the study, so that may have swayed their preference!

We can infer that the numbers/bar codes on the pouch packaging discourage patients from selling them on the street, and that the tablets are preferred for street sales, but there is no data on that.
The (somewhat limited) misuse & diversion data that exists in US government reports and published studies does not distinguish between the tablets & the Film formulations of buprenorphine-naloxone. It's probably hard to get that information reported and recorded?

If RB actually had rolled out a way to scan & record the bar codes, we'd have an advantage we could talk about, in terms of reducing diversion. For unknown reasons, that capability has not been made available.

Wow I didn't expect such a shit fight to come from one post. And yes they were demo films. What kind of idiot would even think I would carry around real films? And give away "free samples"? Clearly marked as the boxes are it's was still obvious to the guy it was Suboxone Film. I was there in my suit and tie. I'm sure he knew I was a rep too and was just being a smartass.

Is it too hard to believe a rep could pull the hottest female addiction doctor in town? I wouldn't believe it either if I didn't know it was true. Is that why you think I must be a liar?

um, wow...you sleep with your doctors. really professional. cool story, bro

Really? Are you so incredibly clueless that you A. think this is something to brag about and B. are even more of an anus to this its a good idea to post it?
Well, thank you dumb ass @#$&!**!!shit, or verifying that the wave of hires from 2005 on, where truly as trailer park as the posts from back then and since have said they were. I don't think RP is the problem. The problem is the bloated egos of the *@#!!%^ they hired and their trailer park mentality. Damn, talk about scraping the bottom of the barrel. To think, at one point, they actually had a few real clinical liaisons, but now look what has reared its ugly hump. Damn, some of you swamp suckers are so low life, you wouldn't even pass as extras for another Deliverance movie.

Hey all you RB reps, Im a film patient that has cmsp, social services insurance that doesnt cover and form of Suboxone, so I have to pay out of pocket for everything. My question is about this new $50 off copay for private insured, I havent tried but Im doubting this will help me in any way, the $45 dollar off was something that actually helped a little bit with the cost, but I just dont see how this so called extension, when its really a change in what RB will help with. Most users of Suboxone films or tabs do not have private insurance, a long time ago I did and had $10 co-pay everytime, but now the cost is the one reason that will probably sending me back to being a user of cheaper opiates. Hopefully you can help me understand why RB chose to only help those with private insurance and leave the rest of us without any sort of help...this shit you market if extremely expensive, I dont mind that RB is getting rich of addicts but you'd think they could they could lower the cost or something the works for everyone not just privately insured...why didnt they just extend the $45 off coupon? They know that everyone could use that, it's gonna get to a point that privately insured people will get their script and divert it out for a cheaper price than seeing the doctor and paying for the script...just a thought...maybe one of you guys could shed some light upon this fact, I would really appreciate it.

The new card is not just for private insurance, it can be used for those without insurance. the only people that cannot use are those with Government funded insurance such as Medicare, Medicaid, and VA.

Maybe you should have read the info on the card or asked your doctor before coming on here and bitching about it...it covers $50 a month for non insured patients. It does NOT cover tablets in any way; and tabs are getting more expensive vs. Films (except for some pharmacy chains that are screwing you over by charging more for Film, even though RB sells it to them for less than they do the tablets...fuck them and go somewhere else if that's the case...paging CV-fucking-S...greedy bastards)

Please excuse the first part of the above answer, this person has no interpersonal skills as they were born under a rock. The coupon is good for $50 off regardless. Good luck with your recovery!

Thank You for clearing up that fact, it just starts out by saying for most privately insured patients it will cover what they've been paying. Im not bitching, Ive had to pay out of pocket for suboxone tabs and then switched to films as soon as they were available. Im someone who doesnt abuse, or re-sell or anything that could jeopardize my own well being. Thats why when I came on here and saw you RB reps or persons with knowledge about the issue, I asked the question and learned I was wrong, and thankful for your time and answer, especially to the last post that seemed to care a little more about what there marketing and its beneficial effects rather than lumping me in with some recovering addict who is bitching about the price. I go to the cheapest pharmacy in town, which funny enough is a smaller chain pharmacy "Owens", in which 30films with their pharmacy discount is $216.00, which is alot for me, but nothing when I compare what I used to pay for my drugs of choice and what I had to do to get that money, along with the constant stress. Thanks for the info, Im due for my refill on the 13th and was going to try the new discount regardless, but I was under the wrong impression, so thanks again...my buddy is a drug rep in So. Cal, so I know how some are about their business and the others that also care about what their product can do for some people...you can have it both ways...I also should thank RB for the extension as well, Buprenorphine in all of its integrated ways for addicts can save lives, the films are preferable I would think to almost everyone who uses sub responsibly.

The purpose of the naloxone(narcan) in the films is to prevent people from dissovling and shooting up the films. If a patient(or drug abuser obtaining the film off the street) were to inject it then they would expirience precipitated withdrawals which are reported to be much worse than the withdrawals expirienced from a complete lack of opiates. In other words it would not be a pleasurable expirience or one repeated! It is clear that some people before posting do not do their homework.
