Student looking for help to break into pharma sales

Hi everybody,

I'm about to graduate and am looking forward to starting my career in the pharma sales industry! I've spoken to several people in the industry who have confirmed my desire of pursuing this career. I understand that the industry is not at its best right now but science, sales and medicine are my passions.

As you could imagine, I am having some difficulty breaking into the industry so I am asking all of you to provide me with some guidance. I've put my resume on Monster but I am looking for additional methods to get noticed. I am looking for alternative methods in addition to directly contacting pharma companies and updating my profile on LinkedIn.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Experience in outside sales should greatly improve your chances of getting an interview. You may have to put in some time with something like copier sales or corporate telecommunications. Any kind of b2b background will help your odds of getting noticed.
