Stryker Orthopedic Instruments ASR

You don’t do it for the money, or the work life balance. You do it for the experience so you can run your own territory one day. Pay your dues, work hard, stay positive and maybe you’ll train your own ASR at some point. Nothing comes for free.

Applying for this division... Can anyone share their experiences, what to expect? How much can I expect to make? Work-life balance?

Success 100% depends on the territory. Stryker owns most of the business in the OI product categories. 90%+ market share doesn’t leave much room for growth and hitting the unrealistic quota numbers. Every 4-5 years you’ll get those capital PO’s, make some money. And the capital orders are critical to hitting your number. Key to success is training your customers to order when you want/need them too, not when they think they should. Otherwise you’ll have one good year and then a couple of bad ones and…you’re fired.

SYK is a thankless company that will drop your a$$ is a heartbeat. But if you just want the experience, I guess it looks good on a resume.
