Too bad SJM did not release the reality of this division to the world today with its Structural Heart press release. With labeling changes and contra-indications finally put our there Gore has taken the market in whole from SJM in the U.S. Do you think SJM is going to come clean about the harm the ASD/PFO device has caused? I doubt it considering!

You obviously are misinformed. RESPECT deserves respect, as the trial was slightly flawed in the intent to treat category. In addition rate of erosion is .04% --the FDA decided recently that there is not even enough evidence for a contraindication, but rather a warning that erosion cAn occur. Sjm educates their customers on this. The devices have corrected heart shunts for over a decade with a high success rate, little complications, and the obviating of surgery to correct a small problem. Don't hate BCM it sounds like you're a gore rep. Your device closes holes 15-35 mm for ASD/pfo. Gore has nothing for VSD, PDA, vascular plugs etc. gore wants marke share in one particular segment, they have no interest in helping solve a wide range of heart defects for out interventionists.

Presently being gutted in favor of hiring lower paid personnel. Managed by a guy (DVP level) from Neuro stim, obviously an expert in CV surgery.

Can't speak to the cath based products.

Valves and repair products are top notch. Support structure and management sucks eggs.

Sales is own it's own without marketing or clinical support.

Valve reps are dramatically overpaid.............. ultimate but lunch everyday game............

MD's are very aware of the long term mechanical and newly designed StJ tissue valves edge vs the competitors. Frankly, only an MD intererested in appeasing the competitors( I will let you figure out what this means) is not open to this dialogue.

Structural is name only, they are years behind MDT and others in TAVI, Mitral, renal denervation, and other structural heart technologies.

Also, many valve reps have been order takers for years so qualify that this job entails something other than opening a box all day(I was an Edward Valve rep for 10 years and was bored to tears)
