Straighten me out on this

I always thought that when a location is without a driver that other locations are REQUIRED to help out by lending theirs, without a gnashing of teeth or having to beg.
It is only shrood business sense for rotech to operate like this.
What has happened?

With most locations down to a skeleton crew ( 1 PST ) where exactly are they to come up with this extra (REQUIRED?) help. Besides the only ones really crying for help already have more PST's than they should, and the manager is scared that they may actually have to do some of the labor. Look around and you'll see its true

I don't care. If another location has only 1 pst, surely there are days that he is not busy........and he could re-schedule his stops and come help me out.
I have reports to do.

My oh my....never heard of a "PST" having a "report" to do. Maybe it is you that needs to re-do your schedule a bit instead of forcing another store to pull your work load due to a lack of being a real LCM.

Cry those tears, princess. I know it's rough having to actually leave the air conditioned office and help a patient once in a while.

Your post has to be satire. You want a PST from a location where they are the only driver to help YOU?

By the way kiddo, it's "shrewd".

Be serious. The ones to suffer will be the patients. Where is the "We care about patient care"? I don't see that anymore. It is about doing more work with fewer people. The patient care gets spread thinner and thinner. Instead of a new phone system, lease newer vans. The vans are all over town and a reflection of our company. Don't know where it will end.

There is nothing in the original post that even indicates the poster is a "princess" or even an LCM. It leans more towards a PST having written it, be it a man or woman in that position.

Seems as if you are attempting to put words into someone's mouth.

The first thing any location can do when short on PST's is to start sending out via UPS basic supplies that are non billable and in some states it is allowable to send out billable items with at least one original signature on file. You would need to have a "team" that is willing to work together on doing that small task.

It is much easier for the office staff to send out such supplies when they are already on the phone with the patient, saving the PST from adding on a stop for a non billable item and etc.

A lot of locations get it and do it together....being successful.

I know how to spell........typo.
If I were'nt having to wait so long for my new pst, i'm sure I would have caught that. That just demonstrates the inevitable mistakes that occur when you have to do two jobs at the same time for extended periods of time, and in repeated fashion year after year after year.
You can bet that patient care shirley WILL suffer at my location if I don't get a pst both in the short term, and as a new hire.

"Please don't call me Shirley" it's surely. Another Rotech dummy.

Look - if I don't get a pst we're just begging for a sentinal event.
If we really care about patient care then just send me an asshole.......any asshole.
Just until I get another.

Better yet (to some), they will close your location faster than if you did have one. Some would look that gift horse in the mouth and kiss it to get out.

I've been in this business long enough to know that 1 pst can easily handle two locations. Every dad sheet I've ever seen was fudged.
When a location doesnt want to share their pst, it's a power play.

And any employee that enters said DAD sheet on the system is part of the problem. No wonder the company has a problem across the board with cash flow. PST's putting on their sheets they are out doing deliveries and they are home mowing lawns, running to the store for a "few" things, asleep on the side of the road. The few bad apples that do it really make it difficult for the PST's and any other worker in the location who pull their weight AND the weight of that lazy PST.

Kudo's to the real workers of Rotech!

Barking on this site won't get you a PST I'm afraid. Won't get you anything, not even a tension reliever.
Do the protocol and if that won't work, look for a job for yourself and forget adding a PST. Let the new person worry about running that location.
Don't take a stroke over this damn job. The company won't care, they'll just replace you anyway. So go on your own terms and you have the last laugh.
Thats what I'm doing.

But when another store sends me their pst (especially when it happens over and over again), my budget comes out smelling like a rose.
The other store has to pay his salary, overtime, gas, wear and tear on his vehicle and put up with his bitchin.
This has worked for me for years..........it's a no-brainer.
