I think they are hoping that onc reps will look for a new job (which most of us are already) and resign (so they don't have to pay severance) then they can fill any open positions with primary care (lower paid) reps. Makes sense, huh?

Read your contract. This is an At-Will company. You can be fired any time for any reason. If you have a problem with that then join and union and move to Wisconsin. You can march with Jesse Jackson.

Talent has little to do with it in the end. It's about money savings, it's about the personal preference of higher ups, and ultimately being at the right place at the right time. I am sure you have heard stories of President Club caliber rep being let go in other companies and at Eisai too. It's a numbers game. Don't mean to be cynical but unfortunately the status of the drug rep has diminished over the years. It is still a relatively good job but there is no denying that the "status" is gone.

You are wrong, my friend. At Will doesn't mean that a company can fire an employee whenever it wants and however it wants. Otherwise, where so many employment lawsuits come from?

I know you did not graduate from law school; nonetheless, you should check the internet before you open your mouth and expouse your ignorance.

Mike Keeler was at will employee with Eisai, but he sued Eisai and received money for the lawsuit settlement.

Eisai wishes have you as its judge for all its employment lawsuits.
