Looks like maybe this wasn't so unforeseeable. Another example of management asleep at the wheel of what really matters.

It means that calls to shut down the primary sterilization vendor have been public since at least October '18. The EPA in IL finally shuttered them in Jan. Management kept it quiet until they couldn't anymore.

Had they started seeking alternate sterilization facilities in Oct maybe massive product shortages and back orders wouldn't be today's reality and that of the foreseeable future.

Ethicon sterilizes all of their products in Mexico.
