Starting in to dribble in DOJ

do your research dipshit, BIO has done nothing others aren't doing, docs didnt disclose to pt's and no one ever does, BIO is clean and clear. Typical shitty article. Least they could've done is include BSC as they have been paying for training cases in exact same account, what a joke.

Oh yeah ..... deny and minimize.
that is what keeps the boat above water.
Check out New Mexico issues

Look Dipshit, it is plainly clear that you have an agenda and have no clue of the facts.

As for the Oregon case Biotronik was removed from the case almost a year ago. There are no pending investigations left in Oregon by the State vs Biotronik.

As for the rest of the US it's the same for us as it is for the rest of our industry. All companies are currently being investigated by the DOJ and we are sure just like you are that we did nothing wrong.

Have at it flame boy! Biotronik is doing just fine.

As for the rest of the country, why are the other CRM companies not making news with the DOJ investigations? Typical response, we do nothing the big 3 don't do.

This is from 2007. CF and Western medical had not even joined yet. Wait until the Feds move through 2009!

http://www.oregonlive.com/health/index.ssf/2013/08/groundbreaking_oregon_doj_case.html

Not denying that this happened but this is nothing different from what EVERY other CRM company has done or is even still doing. Every company has paid their physicians for 'research' over the years. The onus here is on the docs for not being transparent. What responsibility does Bio have in the office when the docs discuss an implant with a patient?

OMG!

1. The New Mexico article was from 2011.

2. If the Doc "mis-diagnosed" the pt. so he "could" put a ppm in.... How is that Bio's fault?
- "Gee Doc, I know you are an M.D. and all, but golly, I have this business degree from the local community college and really think you shouldn't put a ppm in this pt... As a matter of fact, I refuse to be present." - Yeah right!

3. Were the pt.s put on beta-blockers b/c of afib? Yeah, "block 'em down and pace 'em" is old school... but again, how is that the Rep's fault???

I could go on and on, but I am only wasting my time as it is.

BTW, I AM a "big three" rep.

Like it or not, here are the facts:
Medtronic -
Fined $23.5 Million by DOJ in 2011 for paying kickbacks to physicians.

St. Jude Medical -
Fined $16 Million by DOJ in 2011 for paying kickbacks to phycians
Fined $3.65 Million by DOJ in 2012 for overcharging for devices by failing to grant warranty credits.

Boston Scientific -
Fined $7 Million by DOJ in 2003 for reneging on obligation to license IVUS to HP.
Fined $22 Million by DOJ in 2009 for paying kickbacks to physicians.
Fined $296 Million by DOJ in 2011 for failing to report defibrillator safety problems.
Fined $9.25 Million by DOJ in 2011 for knowingly failing to grant warranty credits

Know the facts before you pick up a stone to throw at anyone.

That being said, I doubt the DOJ will walk out the front door of Biotronik without a check in their hand, but it certainly won't be the first, and most likely won't be the worst.

All of this is such bullshit and here is why......

1) EVERY single CRM company out there has paid and is still paying physicians to participate in studies. Some were/are legitimate studies based on science, some were legitimate registries (as legitimate as they can be) and some were/are nothing more than marketing bullshit. Do not even try and deny this. I know of a 90% MDT account that does nothing except studies. They will openly admit that more then half of their business is study driven and those studies with MDT build and maintain their relationship with MDT. It is nothing more then a fact, that is how they drive revenue. This is not meant to throw stones or bash MDT - it's just a fact.

2) The companies have no responsibility to inform patients that they are paying docs to participate in their clinical studies. That onus is on the docs.

3) The judge on this case removed Biotronik from the case because Biotronik was free of responsibility.

4) The docs in this have long been retired living a very plush life. They weren't complaining when they were receiving the $$$. And.... they took money from all companies for 'studies' not just Biotronik.

This article is bullshit. Did Bio pay these guys for their participation in the study? Yes. Did the article reveal all of the facts? No.

No particular axe. Quit whining. Yes we have all been in the spotlight. Your companies reputation is that you are shady. Your brand so to speak. Did you personally cause it? No I bet not but Heir Langer let it happen under his watch and even before. It was continued by CF and PE. The hens are finally coming home to roost.

Why is it that CF and PE were considered the absolute top example of hard working/driving reps when they were with GDT/BSX but now that they are with BIO they are POS's?
