St pete office - gone

April 30th is the last day there will be any support from the AWM St Pete office. After that there will only be a handful of people that will move to Texas. Other than that the division is looking at years of knowledge that will be lost. AWB apparantely will pick up the slack and seemlessly transition across the AWM business with minimal disruption. The majority of employees at St Pete will be out of a job. The majority of people who have worked tirelessly to help this division progress and establish NPWT will be gone. No matter how the new order spins it its a huge knowledge gap to be filled and a lot of good employees will be affected. Why is this a good decision?

Employees are not people, just a commodity. Use them, throw away when you're done, no recycling here. It is particularly sad for people who have invested many years in this company, they are now out of a job with very few prospects, because they are too old and make too much money. The Texas office is going to hire bunch of 20 year olds with little or no experience, but they will cost a lot less in salaries and benefits, that's all that matters. Joke is on you, SN... These kids will not stick around because there is nothing keeping them from getting a job somewhere else, and output quality will reflect that. There will be no continuity... Do you think you will save money by having to spend all your time training people who will give you maybe 2 years, then leave? Terrible decision...

These decisions were made on high. People are replaceable, knowledge is transferable and the board in London could care less about any of us in the US. Profits dictate decisions and somewhere along the line St. Pete wasn't cutting it. You're right, it sucks but take your severance and find an even better job. SNN isn't about the future anymore.

Just a continuation of what's been going on in Memphis & Andover for a long time!

Did they give them a decent severance package, I hope?
