I have a news flash...I've got a job interview out of town on Monday morning. Since my last day is officially tomorrow, they will have to work around my schedule.

True. After your termination date, you are under no obligation to be at Shires beck and call. On the flip side, you will be told to not drive the car and your fuel card will be turned off effective tomorrow.

That's fine...totally understandable. However, as you stated, after tomorrow I am no longer employed here.

I have every intention on getting all of Shire's property back to them in good working order. However, I can't miss an interview or change my plans at their request. I would rather go ahead and just give everything back to them as soon as possible and wash my hands of this chapter in my career. But...a note to Shire...you are going to have to give people ample time to schedule close-outs. You have to remember, us unfortunate ones are busy scrambling around trying to find new jobs and some are trying to purchase a car because they do not have a personal one. It is only fair to give ample notice for the close out.

Funny....I saw a brochure in a Drs. Office yesterday that is titled "SHIRE CARES".

I had to laugh my ass off. Glad I don't work for them.

I agree. I think you should until through out your notice period to return all items. Depending on your tenure, the notice period was either through Dec 15th or Dec. 30th.
