Specialty Sales Rep I-30 minute call w/ recruiter

I have this 30 minute call scheduled for Friday to "discuss my background". This is with a recruiter, not a DM, so perhaps it is not a STAR format interview. Or, is it? A couple other questions.

First, as this is a "Specialty Sales" position, I assume the main product would be Pradaxa. Correct?

Secondly, would this involve primary care office sales, or would it be mainly in the hospital and with cardiologists? If so, the territory might be sizable.

Thanks for any help.

Be careful, there are a lot of "recruiters" who are pretending to do interviews just to get you to fax them your s.s.# and such. BI doesn't use recruiters so I'd be skeptical.

Thanks for the heads up, but this is with a BI recruiter. I received the email from BI and the web link to schedule the time for the call.

Had the phone call today. The position is Cardiology Specialty, and she said it is a new position, which has a pretty big territory. The recruiter lady was very pleasant, and I thought it went very well, but that doesn't mean anything. Hope to see a DM next week.

I have my call next week. What types of questions did the recruiter ask? Do you know how many positions across the nation the company is adding? Where are you located? (approximate area wouild be fine...I understand wanting to stay anonymous) I am in the midwest. Thx for any insight!

Whew! Had my face to face interview. Seriously, it was over an hour of STAR format questions, I'd say between 10-15 total. I liked the dbm a lot, seemed like he'd be pretty good to work for. Needless to say, he is overrun with candidates, many who are currently calling on cardiologists.

I am considering applying for a specialty position but it does not state which specialty. Is this part of an expansion? If so, is there a timeline for interviews/hiring?

Just had a specialty PI. Mostly background info, very little behavior type. Next step F2F. Any idea on salary range? The screener only would say was based on education & experience.
