Specialty Reps. Dumb & Dumber

What is up w Forest's Specialty Reps? If they are suppose to be specialists shouldn't they
just focus on one if not the most two products, in addition, just calling on the specialists? Instead they are selling to the same Dr's and with the same product mixs. This is BS and I say they are just as dumb and maybe so even dumber than the mass reps....
Similar to hiking in the forest, the company is just buch of snakes hidding around and trying to attack anyway they can in order to get a buck or two.

What do you expect? The position as a Specialty Rep isn't a true earned position that is based on numbers or knowledge. It is position that reps "post" for. There isno tie between sales ability and experience...of which is just like most of the "promoted" positions are like at Forest. Kiss enough ass and stab enough of your partner in the back and you too will get "promoted."

Yes this is true, but who ever said that a forest "specialty rep" was a promotion or some coveted position??? I thought it was common knowledge that forest does not have true specialty reps and that it is a lateral position that many in primary care do not even accept promotion too? This is pretty basic stuff. Forest has never been a specialty company it is a primary care marketing company and generic house. A specialty rep at forest is the equivalent to a primary care rep at a top 50 pharma company, it is far from being a promotion and it is a glorified PC rep job that happens to call on 'A" targets, meaning, you guessed it NOTHING........GEEZ GET A CLUE PEONS!

The specialty rep out in my territory thinks they are the boss, they tell everyone what they should say to dr, what lunch should b conducted, what programs should b located at. I am sick of these 20 something high school grad telling me what to do just bcause they think they are specialists. Too many unqualified underpaid glorified wonderbe speciatly rep

lots of nimrod spec reps in northeast-they run around with spicy donuts and cups of dunkin donuts-wow are they special!

What else would you get in the Northeast with the midget DD as the specialty manager? You get a bunch of nimrods with big egos and no brains running around telling all their reps what to do. Minus the 2 Specialty reps in the north, everyone else is a walking DD wannabe with no ability to think for themselves; what can you say that is how it is at Forest, if you want to get anywhere you have to act like your manager. I'd rather shove a killer bee hive up my ass than model my life after an egotistical, napoleon complex, jackass with no intelligence and an iron fist!

Let's face it, there is no difference between the specialty reps and the territory reps other than title and compensation. If you knock out the brand new reps, the skill level on average is the same. Promotions are subjective, the region dictates who is going to be a specialty rep and who isn't. Specialty reps who think their territory counterparts look up to them are delusional. We all do the same thing.

... in addition it used to be a stepping stone for entering into the prestigious world of Forest management; Field Rep - then Specialty Rep - then RST - then the coveted DM role. All of which usually happend in a 24-30 month time span so that each person could learn everything you possibly need to in order to be successful.

What a business model!!

I liked it when the RD played Phish at his first POA and kept us later than 5pm. It was weird and uncomfortable. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to laugh or not. GQ face was priceless when he thought we were all going to see him riding a bull!!!! hahahahahahahahahahahah

Our old specialty rep is living proof that even with 8 years experience in the field you're still a dumbass and don't know what the fuck you're doing!

you must be talking about the S-Rep in S Cali

If the specialty reps in southern ca seem bossy, it's probably because CS will have them demoted if they don't show enough "lateral leadership". What a freaking joke. I mean, how many more specialty reps are going to have to step down to territory rep positions because, supposedly, they aren't doing a good enough job at motivated the reps and boosting sales results. ISN'T THAT THE DM'S JOB??? When are the DM's going to start getting demoted for not showing enough leadership???? Wake up CS, you evil douche. Your region is a joke.
