What will the pay band for the specialty representatives expansion look like?? I live in California and am interested in selling the new products. Will there be any negotiating??? Thanks for your responses.

I am wondering about this as well. Maybe they are expanding specialty so they'll can replace the two specialty teams and get rid of the territory reps and their managers? That would make sense, right? how can we stay afloat without lex?? how?
Most specialty reps come from within so we don't know what the base is. You can probably find out more from someone who just joined the company as a hospital rep for Teflaro though hospital specialty reps have higher bases. You will be a new employee with two weeks vacation. Make sure to take all the other factors into consideration, I know several experienced reps in California who turned down or decided against interviewing for a hospital spot because the total package with benefits, 401k, vacation, etc and the lofty expectations was not as good as what they currently had.

I'm just laughing my way thru this experience. It will not happen here in Massachusetts, as I came all the way from Cali and have found the job is not possible here. I don't tell management this, as I tell them what they want to hear. They are buying my bs,so far.
My parnter and I got promoted and we are told we will receive 10% increase in our salary. We can't wait!
Is that what they usually do a 10% increase? What is the highest salary you know of for a primary care sales rep with Forest? Why is their starting salary so low?
Forest primary care reps exper 1-5 yrs usually make about 60-65 k base.

SPEC vs. PC at forest are lateral moves, no incentive. The salary usually bumps from 5-10%, really fucking weak dick and i have not mat one person who ever made the move, forest does not like having spec. reps and the the division betw the two. You are both sample dropping, entry level micromanaged used car salesman. That does not change, just a title that make life worst than better and what you would expect of a real pharma and a real pharma. That simply is no FRX!!! Duh. Spec reps i know make high 60's Spec reps at real pharma make 95-125k, you do the math.

Hard to say ... most people with 5 years experience are smart enough to not join Forest.
