If everyone is confused about this thread, let me shed some blue light on it. SOPA/PIPA are bills that would allow the gov. to monitor all websites. For instance, CP would essentially go out of business because no one would post as they would have their IP address and information given to the gov. Same with google/yahoo. Last I read they are dead bills.
I'm absolutely against censorship by the gov. but there have been several instances where people lost their lives. I remember a situation were a college student was gay and well you can imagine what happened. The roommate filmed the encounter, put it on youtube and the gay student was so upset that he committed suicide. I'm sure the college roommate got a A for the semester. What needs to really be a focus is not monitoring websites but having severe penalities/jail time for those that cyberbully.
