Neuro Hiring Freeze-Not backfilling anymore territories, DM or Area Director jobs. Indy based roles will be restructured. Neuroscience temporary restructuring with Areas of what DM will report to who. By June 1st if not earlier for 2012, 5 Area Directors in Neuro gone, 20-50 DM's resturctured ??? FDE's gone, and full time employees restructured based on access and stretch. They will sell men's health portfolio.

Cardio- not making enough money. 2yr contract saves them for now. Lipitor and Plavix generic- this month and in May expirations will erode the little bit of money they bring in currently. They are looking for other molecules good luck.

MSK- forteo 22 Districts fine. MSK office non specialty combined and restructured with neuro. Its going to be bad. FDE's gone there too.

Mens health- fine for now. When viagra goes generic, good luck selling viagra once daily. Tick, tick, tick.

The bottom line is there is no pipeline, FDA is more stringent than ever. No more me to drugs. And if they do get approved, they will not generate enough dollars to help us. Things are going to get really bad, and dollars and budgets, promotions, are going to get tough. Cars gone, cell phones gone and people gone! Keep everyone calm and then boom.

By June 1st and the next few years from there, many changes and less people. Head count should be around 27,000 by 13-14. Ultimate goal here is small specialty sales forces managed by the European model. 1 business unit head manages 2 marketers, 1 area director, about 10-12 districts of about 100-120 sales rep per drug or two. Big sales forces gone!

With what happened to Biomedicines, and even to some in the DBU, EVERYONE should be looking for a new job! This company is going to look different after the ACA takes over!
