Missing from the Tokyo stock exchange? I'm curious of what you are insinuating?
I don't think anyone at our level has any idea what REALLY happened, but it seems that the overpayment in these acquisitions were basically made on balance sheets after all was said and done, so they could absorb the stock market losses.
I believe there are parts of this company that could be sold, but for one thing, the sales force would seem to be safe for the most part, for at least 12-18 months anyways...
That said, I don't see how they can afford to sell certain divisions within Medical, because as its been astutely pointed out, we are the reason there are companies clamoring to throw 1.7 billion dollars at the company, and the only way they can show any hope of profitability. The walls would literally have to fall down before they sold the Medical Products division, and it would have to take a substantial need to want to sell off the Gyrus piece as well at this point. Market share is king!
