Displaced rep here. How was it really? No bullshit replies about hookers and cocaine! Seriously, compared to other Vegas meetings that we have had. Did the brass mention anything about the restructure during their speeches? What types of parties did they have?

Honest answer for you
Meeting was typical rah rah but there was several mentions of all the people that lost jobs
It really wasn't a bad meeting, hotel was OK not the roach motel people were complaining about
Voodoo Bar on the top of the hotel was great. Party at the Palms sucked Award dinner sucked
Like that they did the award presentation in the morning although REE in theNE was shut out of all awards.
The best part was the dress. First meeting I ever saw jeans worn everywhere even at the award dinner. They should do that at all meetings
Overall I would give it a B-
 












So I understand that my team was the Top District for Sales Three Years in a row yet I lost my job as the Manager. So much for Performance having anything to do with the downsizing. HR better have their act together and make sure that they have investigated all these lost jobs. Andy they have cost the corporation a ton of money in fines yet they allow the same abuses to go on, retaliation, personal vendettas, discrimination etc. Novartis will continue to pay fines till this is cleaned up, just ask the law firm in DC.

Cry baby. Go suck mommys tit. We didn't want you any more so we fired you. You missed a big party in Vegas. How it the couch and that remote? Any bed sores yet? Roll over everyother day. That should help, friends in the nursing home have said. Best of luck fired little guy. Suck to be fired.

The couch is great! The $30,000 check in a few weeks will be even better! Plus my March bonus, plus $2500 "retraining" bonus, plus vacation pay, plus payout for Bravo points, plus a years worth of benefits, plus 100% vested in pension....

Sorry I missed the big party in Vegas! Sure "does" suck to be fired!!

Remember they take taxes out of your severance. If you think that money is going to last long you are mistaken. It will take you awhile to find a job, probably not what you were making at Novartis. Rememeber you now have to pay for a car, insurance, maintenance etc.
Good Luck to you but I will hang with Novartis until the bitter end. Easy job, great salary for what I do and I now have a great manager
