Now it's a trash dumpster out back. Hahahahahaha

I remember all the Pfizer leaders all the recruiting. All the over zealous spending like you were the next Genentech or something

Yea just like so many other ego driven newbies and their ego smiling Rolex leaders who over hire and over build and then

All shiit hits the fan and everyone is screwed.

Great stuff!

Hey, Brainiac -- go slither back under your rock. Maybe even take an English grammar class while you're under there.

This is a rough patch we're in. Between drugs. Come back in a year and try to spew your venom then.

Did you hand the keys to your fleet car in, yet?

he's got a point though.....the palace for the executives at fan pier is incredible....spending that while laying off is not very nice. but then again, vertex lost it's people values 2 years ago.

You won't even have a job in a year

If there wasn't an overabundance of old fahrts and d-bags around here this would be a great place to work.

That's what we said 10 years ago. Now there are few who can even remember when it was a great place to work. The last vestiges of greatness as a place to work walked out the door with Boger, that's for damn sure.

It must suck to still be living in Boger's dream world. Funny how reality and outside competition intrude on fairy tales.

Hey, it was a great place to work. That's the only reality being discussed here. Boger's dream is, of course, open for discussion.

I was hired in the first year Vertex was opened. It was a great place to work for maybe the first 5-6 years. It was still fun for maybe the next 2-3 years. Things started to change after that.

Today, I get to work and do my job. And I like some of my coworkers. But I know it's not a great place to work.

Read what you wrote -- it sounds like you're a smaller company guy who likes start-ups. Plenty of those around here. Instead of punching in and punching out and feeling miserable, take a chance and plunge into a new start up.

I have never worked for Vertex. I, like many others have applied and this was by and large the number 1 destination place to get into over the last 3 -4 years. Now my department at another company has scooped up one of your recent layoffs and the resumes from current employees have been flooding in. And no, its not a sales dept. I wanted to check out this board since all this movement. Its amazing how things have changed so fast.
