Love,Prepare for the elimination of the entire dermatology division. If you haven't started heading for the exits you are a fool. This house of Sotyktu cards is tumbling down at any moment.
You are so full of shit. Amgen doesn't care. Their derm reps are the worst around now. They mail it in and don't attend lunches or local conferences anymore. Reminds me of the Enbrel reps when they vanished.Love,
Amgen
By all means, just ignore the earnings report and cry like a pussy about Amgen.Love,
Amgen

Stick with the facts. Amgen's earnings call was horrific had massive cuts in Derm this week. The Rheum group was cut by 60%. De-vesting in Otezla.By all means, just ignore the earnings report and cry like a pussy about Amgen.
Fact is, we are soon starting year three and we sell $50 million a quarter. Nuff said.
Dude - know you're desperate but facts are that Amgen cut rheumatology and neurology. They didn't cut derm. In fact they added KOL Liaison reps. Stock was up yesterday after earnings. Down on some profit taking today. Look at the 5 or 10 year returns and compare to us.Stick with the facts. Amgen's earnings call was horrific had massive cuts in Derm this week. The arrogance was enormous. We haven't launched anything well in decades and we thought we could do better. Otezla is almost entirely profit. The ELT that sold Otezla to Amgen only to get Sojaktoo should all be fired. Every last one. WORST DEAL IN PHRMA HISTORY!!! That revenue would come in handy.
You forgot not having the co-pay cards readily accessible for patients at the HUB level.Otezla is a placebo. Hats off to the bikini models that pushed it to 2 billion.
BUT, BUT, BUT, it should have nothing to do with our disaster. There is no excuse for us not doing better. Superior molecule. Superior efficacy, Superior AE profile, superior dosing and starting year 3 we are a complete failure. Why?
The reasons are many:
-poor leadershsip
-no understanding of derm offices
-reliance on 1990 speaker program tactics
-bad rep maps and alignments
-hired the wrong derm experience
-reliance on R&F model that doesn't work in derm
-terrible HUB
-terrible IC capture and worse IC plan
-unrealistic goal setting
-weak promotional pieces
HIRING OF KARENS/KEVINS KILLED US!!I've been in dermatology for 20+ years. Seen a lot come and go.
I've never seen anything like the first couple years of Otezla. Their sales force was a force to behold. Smoking hot. Got in everywhere, including most the no sees. Product was at best marginal and they created a buzz like I've never seen. No wonder they sold so much. After the first couple years, say 2016 or so, they all started marrying plastic surgeons and it changed, but whoever put that initial team together knew what they were doing.
We went out and hired the WRONG dermatology experience.HIRING OF KARENS/KEVINS KILLED US!!
Not sure where you're located but the OTEZLA team where I am does not even come close to what you are describing.I've been in dermatology for 20+ years. Seen a lot come and go.

Several of those AMGEN reps that launched Otezla are here. Not a smoke show in sight. Just over filled faces with zero selling skills. Otezla took off because it was the first pill. The Otezla rep in my territory slept with numerous doctors to get her numbers. I know because several of the doctors flat out said it.I've been in dermatology for 20+ years. Seen a lot come and go.
