Slim to none...

Not sure I can remember when the Quintiles postings were this low before. Less than 200 position postings overall! Anyone hearing anything through the grapevine about upcoming contracts in the works? Hope there's something on the horizon here... something that becomes viable, and isn't pulled at the 11th hour!

Maybe the new jobs going to Inventiv, if they can show better retainment numbers due to happier contract employees. (since they usually give more vacation and - more often than not - actually give you a company car!) Rather than hire you on with the promise of having a company car, then abruptly change their story later on, as with the Sanofi contract!!!

They need to address obvious issues such as employee retention, horrible management, and bonus structure. I hear a new inexperienced manager in the South spends more time micromanaging since she has no advice to give on actually selling products. She's ran off several reps because no one at the top is actually managing her or holding her accountable for sells. When a retention problem exist it is difficult to gain new contracts as the word gets out to prospective companies. Quintiles needs to deal with this individual and question the obvious before more employees jump ship.

2 weeks vacation and no week off between Christmas and New Years absolutely sucks!

Sales will burn you out and fry your brain, a little r&r would result in a more energized and effective sales force...

I've been watching the QT job postings for a while and I am really starting to think they are focusing Less on contract sales and much more on other contracted positions like MSLs, nurse educators etc. QT now relies much more on positions with some kind of prior clinical component. I feel like they're weaning themselves off of contract sales.

Above poster is correct. Q appears to be going more towards clinical consulting, and recruiting of more highly trained personnel such as nurses, dieticians, etc. Like they are now recruiters for medical personnel. I think they are leaving contract also, as InVentiv seems to be getting more than Q.

Perhaps she had a hygiene problem and never took a shower! Perhaps she never washed her cooter? These are all questions that upper management need to take up with HR!
