Singulair is once a day so I do not see much good done by an extended version. Maybe they will look to once a week like with Fosamax but will insurance companies pay for it when a generic is available for once a day? Probably not. Will consumers shell out extra for a tier co-pay? Probably not. This is why Merck will do it. And fail. LOL
