Yeah I know...this isn't the place to get information blah blah blah...now that that is out of the way can anyone tell me if Genentech considers offering sign on bonuses for newbies coming over that will be losing bonus cash at previous company? Not a deal breaker but I will be losing significant bonus cash if I accept the offer. Is anyone on here that can offer a serious reply to this question? I will certainly address it during the offer process but thought maybe someone could offer some incite? Thank you

Sign on bonus? Nhahahahaha! Sorry pal but it's your prob bout losing future bonus and BTW there are very eager back up candidates internal or external. Anyway you got some balls to demand it as you ought to kowtow for DNA even giving your sorry ass an offer to which the BIG is IF they give you an offer, chump.

All about your negotiation skills, what you can prove you are walking away from and how much the hiring manager wants the candidate. They are not out of the question. Other poster was right with the $5-10k range.

Gee one should be jumping with joy having received a very coveted job offer from DNA given how hard it is for outsiders to get in. Look at it this way - you will enjoy years of luxury cars and gravy train so why fuss over $10k?
