I was previously on a contract with PSS, contracted ended. I was brought back on another contract and they wouldn't even match the salary I was getting from the previous contract!

Never thought about it that way. It totally makes sense that I should be accepting a reduced salary every year or so. And with the 3 to 4% annual inflation, a few years down the road I'll really be able to get ahead! My future looks so bright.

I don't disagree with your point at all...just OCD kicking in....we really haven't had inflation for awhile....we're in a recession.
