I have the deepest admiration and appreciation for the brilliance of Warren Buffett. I began buying stock in his company for every member of my immediately family in the mid-80s, and he has contributed magnificently to the lifestyle of my wife and children. However, over those nearly 30 years, the Sage of Omaha has made some doozies of mistakes...but, they were diminished by his usual winning decisions.

Well, he's now out with one of those doozies, and a hypocritical one at that. Warren Buffet now says the government should tax his class of earners much more now to help reduce the deficit. Really. If he thinks that government stewardship of money is so good why did he give Billions of $$ to the Gates foundation instead of to the government.

If giving more money to the government is the "Right" thing to do, why does he need congress to pass a law making him do it. Same with George Soros, and the like. Why do they need to be compelled by law to help out Uncle Sam?

And let's not stop with the super rich. How all you left-wingers that are constantly whining on here about everyone should be paying more...anti up, my friends. Walk like you talk, and here's how...

Below is a website that will show you how to pay down the national debt by submitting a credit card number, or by mailing it to them at the posted address. They promise all monies received will be used to reduce the debt (ohhhh, haven't we heard that before).

Financing the Debt

Why does the debt sometimes decrease?

The Public Debt Outstanding decreases when there are more redemptions of Treasury securities than there are issues.

How do you make a contribution to reduce the debt?

There are two ways for you to make a contribution to reduce the debt:

You can make a contribution online either by credit card, checking or savings account at Pay.gov
You can write a check payable to the Bureau of the Public Debt, and in the memo section, notate that it's a Gift to reduce the Debt Held by the Public. Mail your check to:

Attn Dept G
Bureau of the Public Debt
P. O. Box 2188
Parkersburg, WV 26106-2188

OK, there you have your avenue to aid Uncle Sam and all the socialist programs clamored for by Idiotbama and Stretch Pelosi. Give away, then come back to this thread and report to us how much you have contributed. Tell all your friends too. Make this like one of those internet chain letters and send it ONLY to those left-wingers that complain the rest of us don't pay enough.

THEN, come back here and share your experience with the rest of us. Let us know how much EXTRA you paid on your taxes and how rewarding the total experience was for you. We're waiting.

I gave $346,000 last year. Between Hairy and my contribution the $14,000,000,000,000 debt will be payed down in a million years or so.:D

You see, ladies and getlemen, given a chance to walk like they talk and pay MORE to Uncle Sam, the "Tax More" folk are as full of shit as Hope & Change.

Now, will you help us and our country out by giving?

Sorry, you'll have to buy your own shit, Paula.

I pay my legal obligation, and not a dime more. If I'm going to pay out money to "help" folk, it will be to the charitable organization of my choice. Isn't that the Warren Buffet way, despite his call for more taxes?

You people are the ones calling for people to extra, and I'm helping you walk your talk. You up to it, or are you all hat and no cattle?

Now you may see why we have to raise taxes. Folks like you just will not pay their fair share.

I pay what the government has determined to be my fair share. The problem with you letwingers is that you want OTHER people to pay more taxes so you can have your free stuff. I've shown you how you can pay more, but you don't. You just want me to pay more. Again, if paying more taxes were "the right thing to do" you should be willing to pay more regardless of what anyone else does. Where's your conviction, cowgirl?

He has a long history of hypocrisy, not only on this issue, but abortion. Notice that his mama was pro life since she didn't abort him. Also notice that he calls for a reduction of the erf's population but refuses to voluntarily remove himself from it.

Typical liberal. Always call for others to do things they themselves will not do.

Look at Odummy driving around in this specially made bus that cost us $2 million and then rails agains the auto companies saying they need to make more fuel efficient vehicles yet he drive the most inefficient vehicle ever made

That's pretty funny, you making such a declarative statement about something you know nothing about. That's your pattern.

What we really have here is a person (Warren Buffett) saying we should pay more in tax, but squandering his own money on one of those dastard PRIVATE charities. How thoughtless of him. He gave BILLIONS to a nasty PRIVATE charity when he could have given that money to the government.

Buffett is the premier investor, and he must view government as a poor place for his charitable funds. But, he thinks government is the place for our money, in a confiscatory sort of way. Typical hypocrite liberal.

Like I said before, I'll take myself out only if ten others like yourself will join me. Only then it will be worth it. Yes my mom was raised a catholic and did not know any better.
As for the world's population, I do not see you taking in hundreds of people into your house. You are the hypiestcret around.

I went into the Army as a buck private in the early sixties. As I recall, I was paid the princely sum of $51/month, and they took out $5 for income tax.

We could solve most of the problem simply by taxing all but the poorest.

The Founding Fathers originally wanted to give the right to vote to property owners only. They may have been right. Asit stands now, the freeloaders comprise a large enough constituency to vote for their own freebies and win.

Nice piece in this mornings Wall St Jnl that exposes the hypocrisy of Warren Buffett:

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424053111903918104576504650932556900.html?mod=ITP_opinion_2

Not mentioned in the piece is the fact that Berkshire Hathaway pays no dividends to it's shareholders. So what? the dim one's will ask. Here's what: Years ago I heard Buffett explain why he pays no dividends. He said it would expose the assets of shareholders to DOUBLE TAX (earnings are taxed at corporate level, then again as dividends), and that we can't have that. He said he can retain the money within the company and build greater value for the shareholder than if he pays it out and it gets TAXED as dividends. Imagine that...a private enterprise building greater value for it's owners than the government. Who'd a thunk?

So, all you "Thousandaires" out there, prepare to do you "your part."
