shoulder arthoplasty,,,chasing the herd

Discussed from several fronts is that Acumed is thinking of getting into shoulder arthroplasty, as we all know there are very few companies in this space. Then again since they are the "best brand in Orthopedics", they shouldn't have any problems,,,just put an Acumed stamp on it.

This will go over great with all the agents they have who handle Exactech. I would guess Acumed would expect the Etech guys to give that up.

Acumed does not have any momentum in this area other than that rarely used fracture stem. Most of their young sales force have never been in a joint procedure so I would think this would be a long road for them.

Any ideas on who they would carve a partnership with out of Europe?

Very few companies in this space (Biomet, Depuy, Exactech, Arthrex, Zimmer, Tornier, Lima, Stryker, etc)??? What??? Acumed will be at the back of the line.

Sure jump right in the mix. I'm sure you will gain instant business. It should be easy to make your shit fx stem convert to a primary & reverse. File those 510k's & I bet you should have your product to market in a week or two. You sir are a dumbass.
