Look at the questions you've asked. This is supposed to be a new job, a new adventure with unlimited promise. Yet these are the questions you are asking about employment with Amarin. Do you think you really need the answers to these questions to make your decision about working here?

What a stupid question. Wait until THEY offer you a salary range and then decide if you want t risk taking the job that you will probably lose in 6 months. You wonder if there will be another layoff? Are you even aware of Amarin’s story??? Why not research a company before moving forward? Jeez Louise.

on second thought, you’d be a perfect fit for this organization. You truly deserve each other.
 






Geez, why do you all have to be such assholes?? It really wouldn’t kill you to be nice to people.
I worked at Amarin for 2 years and was laid off in September along with 400 or so other people.
I took a huge pay cut to come over, however, I was an unemployed speciality rep, so I took the job.
Most reps were offered 70k. On the upside compared to my previous roles, my territory was small and I got to sleep in my own bed every night. I did well and my quarterly bonuses were around $9500. I loved the product, my manager and most of my team. I hated using my own car and my direct counterpart.
The problem is, there is generic intrusion and amarin has lost 4 or 5 lawsuits including with the Supreme Court. They claim to have an ace up there sleeve and think they will actually win the patent dispute. That remains to be seen.
Nothing in pharma is stable.

I say this with no exaggeration - this was by far the worst job I've ever had, working for the worst manager I've ever had and run by the worst leadership I've ever seen. Amarin is an absolute disgrace of an organization and the best thing that has happened to me professionally was leaving this cesspool for my current job at a competent pharma company. Find an alternative.
