Wow, but if truth be known, all of the ostomy manufacturers should be closely investigated for their practices in collecting patient information from clinicians by manufacturer representatives and circling to the DME resellers to "capture" this information and patient in order to continue to sell to them after they leave the hospital. It was a huge scam and several layers of employees getting nice little pay offs for their efforts. I believe all these law suits have helped temper these activities but it was in very poor taste, unethical to say the least.
You shouldn't be worried about your job. Hollister is a very ethical company. This was a DOJ witchhunt which would have gone on indefinitely. Settling and moving on eliminates a distraction for the business.
